Yes.  The problem is that Awakening doesn't take upgrading the keep into account, and automatically flags everyone you didn't bring to the Dragonbone Wastes as dead, no matter what the epilogue says.


Is there any fix other than re-starting and choosing a pre-built backstory or importing a save after altering who I take?

Damn this sucks. Aside from missing seeing Wardens and Nathaniel, there's some nice drops / rewards plus Varric's last upgrade.  Why would they put a compaion upgrade in a quest only certian players can access anyway? Even if it was working as intended, that's just bad design.

As far as I know there's no other ways than those you mentioned. If it was PC there might be save editing options, but I don't think that's possible with Xbox.

Hate to reiterate, but I haven't seen an answer yet, have the romance flags from origin's warden also been fixed? assuming you import a game post-origins? (such as in awakening and beyond)? The first big patch fixed the "is the architect dead or not" flag error, but Lelianna still did not refer to my warden as "Dearest", just curious if this specific import issue has been fixed? I guess the same would go with Zevran recognizing the romance

There might still be issues with the dlc imports maybe,especially since there are no flags in WH.

I just went back and kept Nathaniel with me in Awakening so I can get him in my next playthrough. Will it register my keeping the Architect alive or is that a weird vice versa problem?

I don't think there's ever been a problem with the Architect being alive if you let him live. The problem was him being alive when people had killed him.

It's nice to see the game being patched up.  I've been unable to pull myself away from Origins to finally start DA2, though since I finally got the Blight Queller achievement for 100% completion, I should be able to start this game that I pre-ordered finally, just as soon as I finish off this playthrough.  I've also been waiting on the patches to come out before starting DA2, as to prevent some unnecessary headaches.

Luckily I had a save just before chosing who to take to the battle of Amaranthine so I didn't have to trek through all of Awakening again.

I really hope this patch fixes up the vigil keep import bug. I left Anders and Nathaniel in a fully upgraded keep in Awakening and as soon as I took Carver to become a grey warden Stroud he mentioned that Anders should be dead. Turned off my xbox straight away because I refused to continue where Vigil keep apparently fell. I just can't continue to play if one import went wrong, yup i'm that crazy :P

This patch won't fix that. It's the approval rating issues that are fixed. If you look a couple pages back you'll see what Luke Barrett had to say about it.

To be fair it looks like the epilogues of the previous stories don't mean two flamin' hoots so I wouldn't worry too much about whether Anders popped it or not. My issue was with not getting to see Nathaniel (swoon).

Didn't see this in the patch notes, but does Isabela's outfit change after romancing her now? Or do you still have to use a Maker's Sigh to fix it?

I believe the safety net that is in place for save/loads should catch this if it still happens. Apparently it shouldn't but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't :blink:

Just curious, but has there been any talk of anyone patching DAA to fix that problem and (hopefully) the importing, or is it something we're just going to have to live with?

There has been talk but the fact of the matter is if we go back and change anything to do with plotflags in any way from DAO (or even DA2 core now) we have a very extensive amount of reactive testing to redo which takes up a heavy amount of man hours. Now, that's not to say that it will never happen just that it is very low priority right now.
