^Yup. For someone like that, I'd rather mock him with condecending niceness than straightup aggression. Why waste my bullets killing him when the Reapers would do it for free?

I'll settle for either airquoting or right hooking. Either works.

^^ basically this.

I'd like to treat him like the reporter Khalisah Bint Sinan al-jilani; punch him out then mock finger-quote him by saying: I've had enough of your disingenuous assertions".

I wouldn't shoot him though. That comes off as being unnecessary. As a paragon it would be incredibly overly excessive. Embarrassing them by using their own words against them in a mocking manner would admittedly be a little childish...but extremely gratifying.

I'd rather let him live...why you ask...because after the reapers are defeated id like there a statue to be made of shepard air quoting the councelor with a hilarious description right outside his office so when he ever even tries the air quote anyone they can just point to it.

That's alittle extreme Commander....

I would rather do a Turian gesture insult if he's pressing my buttons at the time or just say, " I told you so," When the reapers show up to eat the Citadel.

Hand him a gun and simply say "Go ahead, dismiss them".

Scene: The Destiny Ascension (carrying the original councilors) and an Alliance dreadnought (carrying Anderson) are fleeing from a burning Citadel under reaper attack. A pair of reapers turn and start to chase down the dreadnoughts. Both ships send out distress calls, and fortunately the Normandy arrives just in the nick of time, Thanix cannons charged and ready to fire. But there is only time enough to disable one reaper. Shepard cannot possibly save both.

The council: Shepard, thank goodness you're here. Please save us!
Anderson: Go ahead Shepard. The majority of the council must survive... I'm only one man. Save them.
Shepard: No.
Everyone: What?
Shepard: You heard me... no. I gave you a chance, and you squandered it. Instead of preparing for this, you chose to stick your heads in the sand and ignore the problem. Now you're going to pay the price.
Turian councilor: So you're just going to clear the way for Humanity to take over the galaxy?
Shepard: No. I'll find worthier members of your species to replace you . Hell, the Asari, Turian, and Salarian on my crew have done more to fight the "reapers" than you ever have. Joker, take down the ship attacking Anderson.
Asari councilor: But Shepard- *scream* ... *static*
Joker: Destiny Ascension... destroyed, commander.
Shepard: Probably the only good thing the reapers will ever do. Bring us around for another pass, keep Councilor Anderson's ship clear.

No poliitical assassination is not Shepard's style. It may also create a Turian human conflict so is an all-around bad idea.

air quoting should be sufficient.. if he still thinks my mind is fragile and i'm over exaggerating a punch to the face will follow

Shoot him? That's batsh*t insane move.

Sometimes insane things need to be done to protect the galaxy. :P
When the Reapers arrive at Earth, I bet a lot of people will want Valarn dead.

And how will that save the galaxy?
And only few people now about the air quote.

Why not shoot the asari as well?
They both think you're stupid, she's just more subtle about it.

Gotta say, if you think the turian councilor is bad, you have not had a hard-ass enough boss and/or parent in your life.

And no, I'd never shoot that man. He is bro.

As much as I'd love to shoot that guy it is neither diplomatically feasible nor the most satisfying thing I could do.

I kept them alive for one purpose and one purpose only: to not ****** off the galaxy. I actually don't care whether they are alive, dead, dying, dying horribly, being tortured, or being turned into husks. I would probably be satisfied with shooting them though the obligatory air quote dismissal of their lives is more gratifying.

However, if I did that, realistically, the galaxy would turn against me, as ME2 players found when they let the council die/killed the council. Doing it out of spite would undermine my position and make collaboration, with me in charge, nearly impossible.

Without cooperation my entire strategy is shot.

This is a similar reason to why I never punch Al-Jhilani. As much as really, really want to, it undermines my position.

I don't want to shoot him. Sure he's been an ass and a bit of a thorn in Shepard's side, but that's not enough of a reason to shoot him.

Besides, the Turian Councilor needs to see what a Reaper Armada looks like first hand. He needs to hear Harbinger's voice echoing through every part of the Citadel, experience the terrible effects of indoctrination and know what it feels to be a helplessly manipulated automaton.

Why would I deny the good Councilor what he really deserves?

I'd be opposed to a chance to kill the Turian Councilor (or, indeed, the Council in general) in ME3.

It wouldn't be a thematic fit for the 'have to live with your choices', and it would be a waste of a potential 'big decision' outlook to get the same choice of the end of ME1. While mockery, or at least an 'Ah yes, Reapers' dialogue option should be there, the Council should be beyond selective killing the second time around, ungrateful buggers or not.
