I love TW2 and I dislike DA2 but I don't consider it a horrible game. A big let down - yes, but still a pretty long way to go down to horrible. I know for sure that some of the employees and developers also play other rpgs and I do bet that their jaws dropped when they saw Witcher 2's attention to detail and amazing living worlds. Something that Kirkwall lacked 99.99% of the time. I am sure they get the idea but I will be extremely cautious when buying next Dragon Age game nonetheless.

I don't feel like addressing the rest, but this commentary about classes is one glaring thing you're approaching in a wrong way for this game.

He expected to hate it, so he did. He WANTED to hate it, there's no point in discussing his views

I'd rather Bioware delay DA3 for a year than to spend $60 on a game that doesn't even have half the playtime of other Bioware games.

I know Christ Priestly played Witcher 1 and said he plans on buying Witcher 2 after he finishes his current pile of games. Hopefully he takes some of what he likes to DA3 dev team.

@bmwcrazy  Same here. DA3 has already been announced seriously what about an expansion or something that expands the game and environments. I'd be fine with a SDK even.

Yes, the time factor will play a major role in my decision. If its anything less than two years then they can go to hell as far as I am concerned. :)

I just hope it gets a long dev time. I know this won't happen but Bioware should license the RED Engine.

If they are feeling proud then they won't licence it. Too bad, I am sure it would fit their rpgs perfectly when it gets full optimization for consoles.

Either license the Red Engine or use the facial tech that L.A Noire has. Either choice would add so much to the game.

I like both games. I don't feel as attached to Geralt as I did to Hawke though. Probably because at least in DA2 there is some character customization. Both games are fairly similar as they are on rails, The Elder Scrolls games beats both hands down in that regard. The combat is pretty much equal although I tend to prefer DA2's combat. One thing I really hate in the Witcher 2 though is the camera, it really is poor (and the looting). The environment is definitely better in The Witcher 2 as well as is the mature theme. I'm not a fan of the QTE gameplay in TW2 but that is subjective, others may like that.

Anyway, my quick verdict, TW2 is a good game with some flaws. Same thing with DA2. I can't say which one I have enjoyed more but I'll just say I like both games.

Next weeks patch is suppose to fix the camera and QTE's can be turned off ingame. Looting sucks yea but it's not something that bugs me to much.

Elder Scrolls is a sandbox game just saying.
