I was working this afternoon when this popped into my head:

"What does the Circle of Magi do with mages who sustain a concussion or develop Alzheimer's disease or start going senile?  Impaired mage = seriously bad news.  Is there some yearly mental test once a mage reaches a certain age?  Are they immediately made tranquil?  Is it the knight commander, the first enchanter, or a combination of the two groups who make the decision?"

Next thought:

"Exactly when did I become this deeply involved in a fictional world?"  :P

What was the random Dragon Age question that made you realize you might be overly involved?

It would be the judgement of the Knight-Commander whether a mage needed to be made Tranquil. Traditionally this would be in consultation with the First Enchanter, who represents the interests of the mages to the Chantry. How well this works in practice varies from tower to tower.

"Exactly when did I become this deeply involved in a fictional world?"

Depends. When were you born?

"How do the 1st enchanters get their positions in the circle? Are they elected? Appointed?"

Appointed by the Knight-Commander from among a tower's Senior Enchanters, generally with the approval of that tower's mages (meaning they would try to come to a consensus with regards to who is the most suitable candidate). In practice, a First Enchanter's successor is already in place long before they need to assume the position.

Will we ever get to play as multiple races again?

Possibly. We haven't ruled that out.

Will we get to see Shale again?

You almost saw her in DA2, in the cut plot "Finding Shale". Eventually that plot was replaced by the one where you meet Nathaniel. Betcha didn't know that. I'd like to bring Shale back sometime, so long as it's not just for meatbag and pigeon jokes.

Could the DA team drop the dialouge wheel, please?

Doubt it. We've no reason to, and we like it.

Why did you feel it necessary to emphasize the greyness of the mage/templar conflict, instead of exploring some other aspects of it?

Which "other aspects" are you referring to?

If anyone who follows the qun is Qunari, how do we know the race of giant dudes with (or without!) horns is same race that "discovered" the qun?

You don't?

What happened at the mage meeting at Cumberland described by Wynne during DA:A? It went unmentioned so I assume they voted for the status quo?

Sounds like something that could be detailed more in, say, a novel.

@Mr. Gaider: Was the Tome of Koslun based on the Qu'ran, the Qun on Islam, and Koslun on the prophet Muhammad?

Not really, no. The Qun has nothing functionally in common with Islam, and the existence of a prophet or a book is hardly unique. The Qunari play a role in Thedas similar to Arabic cultures in Medieval Europe (combined with the Golden Horde, for good measure), which is where their Middle Eastern "flavor" comes from... but beyond that any similarities are unintentional.

@Mr.Gaider, will you ever explain why Leli is always alive?(not that it bugs me since she never dies.)

Certainly. It's not going to happen in a forum post, however.

Wouldn't Tevinter be just as good a setting for DA3 as Orlais, if not better?

I don't know. What plot did you have in mind? Whatever it is, I'll be it works great in Tevinter.

Now one I've been wondering for a while. Orsino's harvester transformation. Is he supposed to be an actual harvester as we know them from GoA, or is it a model recycle and he's just a weird... flesh golem abomination thing?

He's a creature formed by demonic possession and the transmutation of flesh-- so the same end result as the harvester, but not the same means.

I have about 400 friend requests sitting there, staring at me. Considering how the site forces me to deal with each one individually I gave up on trying to keep up with them a long time ago. Sorry.

Who took Anders' cat away?

Nobody. Ser Pounce-a-lot was possessed by the spirit of Justice, and transformed his body to look like his former owner. Then one day he chased a mouse onto a ship and ended up in Kirkwall. It was the weirdest thing.
