Say what you will about Dragon Age 2, but they are coming out with another one. Personally I think they will combine the good elements of both games and make an outstanding game. Read the article below.

keep the combat, new story but stick to a non cliche plot, make it darker in terms of story not graphics two very different things. When will DA actually feel like a "dark heroic fantasy"?

Dragon Age 2 ending confirms Dragon Age 3!
Considering the amount of times I've seen people on these forums say that DA2 was so bad they doubt there will be another one I thought it interesting to post.

Hopefully they will give it at least two years instead of rushing it again, Hawke still has some potential to be salvaged.
I'd prefer 4 years time. Like say another rpg released this week,...

Here's hoping DA3 will be awesome, without the awesome button!

True sometimes good games don't get sequels, I'm looking at Alpha Protocol and Psychonaughts recent examples. But I always thought there'd be a third game here.
Related the article, they do need some more environmental artists. Kirkwall was as dead as dead could be visually. Wasn't much different from Denerim except you could leave Denerim and go to other locales like the superior designed Redcliffe and Haven maps. Even the Wilds and Forest maps were nice and refreshing. The variety of the different map types helped DA:O a lot and when they stripped variety out they were left with unremarkable maps.

I will absolutely not buy DA3 full-price. I will buy it used. I sorely overpaid for DA2.

I do hope they find more excellent environmental artists than the ones they got for DA2. While possibly stealing another company's game engine.

Imagine the Brecillian Forest on the Red Engine! This is a screenshot I took on max settings with Ubdersampling.
