But that soldier is a cyborg zombie now.Alistairlover94 wrote...
No. It should be good 'ol fisitcuffs. My money's on the tough, career soldier protagonist with a dialouge wheel, instead of some stuck-up refugee.

I hope they don't 'forget' about DA2 DLC...
Indeed! Hopefully it ends with Hawke getting a head-shot from Commander Shepard wielding the Widow Anti-Material Rifle with Warp Ammo. Hopefully...
I'd prefer if Hawke killed Shepard....overrated Mary Sue...
Wow, Shepard must be really bad if s/he compares favourably to the character who managed to be "the most important person in the world" by simply being around when others made all the important desicions!
Yep. Unlike Shepard who IS the most important person in the galaxy(only hope against Reapers).

Which gives her even more of an edge.

That was false advertising, I don't hold that against a character who had emotions. Shepard was like a drone in ME2, unless you had LotSB.Drasanil wrote...

Hawke is a mage, that beats cyborg zombie since cyborgs make the zombie feel lose it's touch.Alistairlover94 wrote...

welp, that's what ME2 writers tell us. I still fail to see why is Shepard so necessary to stop
i bet Liara could do it on her own

I learned my lesson with DA2.
I will absolutely not buy DA3 full-price. I will buy it used. I sorely overpaid for DA2.
+1
Look. I was pissed of when I bought Arma II and ended up hating it. But I do not go and blame the company for my own stupidity.

I agree. At least,Dragon Age II still deserve to be called a rpg and partymembers have more then two skills to use.
Mass Effect 2 was just mediocre crap.

WOW! Because when I saw ME2 I was SO totally expecting Baldur's gate II shooter style! Really! Jee Wizz what a horrible role-playing game this one is; right Tim?

No.I expected in fact as much talents like in the first game, for both, shepardt and squadmates.simfamSP wrote...

But what happened: The best specialists in the galaxy could only use 3 skills at best.
Amazing.

ME2 was meant to be an action game. The series is an action series, no matter how great the RPG elements are implemented. Now looking at it this way, I hope you enjoy the game for what it is: a really bad-ass action game.
The lack of skills was to quicken the pace of the combat I suppose.
But if skills and combat are what defines and a good game today then the Witcher 2 is rubbish. And it most CERTAINLY is not.

Yes,and it even failed at that.It does nothing good. Its a mediocre shooter at best. The "characters",or should i say puppets, only shine in their personal missions, but otherwise nothing happens. Basicly zero party banter. The plot/story is utter crap.simfamSP wrote...

Shepardts itself, who was somehow independent in the first game after becoming a spectre(could even shut off briefings with the council) was degraded to a cerberus lapdog who couldnt even acess the galaxy map if the illusive man have something important for him to do(like ordering him into a obvious trap). The decision at the end doesnt make up for this railroading.
Shepardt also wasnt necessary for that game at all. Mordin devoloped the countermeasure against the swarms and the illusive man gain all necessary informations. Shepardt was just someone who shoot people to dead(like zaeed) unlike in the first game who his knowledge about the protheans played a role for the story.

The important thing to take from the source tweet isn't that there will be a DA3 (which is no surprise really) but that they are increasing the size of the envioronmental team.
Which more specifically means they're directly addressing the complaints about recycled maps.
Hopefully replacing some ppl too, I felt the areas were very uninspiring even before the recycling madness kicked in. Let's hope for some weather and wind this time too, to get away from the frozen-in-time feel.

@Ariella: Yes, they would. Hawke's only talent was killing. Anders would have still triggered the war. Hawke just distracted Elthina(which even a nug can do). Bartrand and Varric would probably have survived with someone else as skilled at killing stuff.
We don't know any of that for sure. Anders might have gone off long before, he may have been finally overwhelmed and killed by the templars, or taken out by by coterie without Varric to protect him. There's no absolute that Anders would have stayed sane enough to take action by the third act without Hawke.
Same with Varric and Bartrand, especially considering B wanted to do the whole expedition on the cheap anyway. probably would have gone in with too few men, if they could find an entrance (assuming they couldn't convince Anders) and gotten eaten by the *bleep* even before they got anywhere.
