I saw a article saying it had a online game mode, might of been IGN. Can anyone confirm this? I am actually being serious not trolling or being a dick.

That would be awesome. It's speculation though, Bioware have neither announced nor denied an online mode.

All hyperbole aside, I am hardly one without imagination. I just find the explanations for the gaping plot holes a little to big to just gloss over myself. And if that makes me unimaginative, well the sign me up. Rather be considered dense then make up all kinds of craptastic excuses for Hawke.

You are unimaginative, you miss that Hawke might not have been doing nothing but that Varric just didn't decide those things were important. Like if I ask you to tell me about yourself, I'm not going to assume that if you skip from "went to Disney at age 8" to "was admitted to Coney Island Community College Learning Annex at 18" that for 10 years you weren't actually doing anything but that you are hitting the highlights as they were.

Your and others' responses keep telling me that Bioware grossly overestimated their audiences ability to not do the same old same old again. RPG fans based on reaction to the story and the mild changes (and the hyperbolic listing of massive chnages will not doubt follow by one of the wild eyed disciples of Origins) in mechanics are only slightly more conservative than Pat Robertson about what they tolerate.

Great. Just what I want in a DA game. The SP campaign suffering just because EA wanted to adjust to a wider audience. I don't know about everyone else, but I don't want pre-pubescent boys running around shouting "you totally are the failzors!", or whatever in the DA franchise. That's what shooters are for.

If development is less than three years or even two and a half (with the same engine) I'm gonna skip this one. DA2 was undercooked, I still liked the game but it wasn't at it's full potential. DA2 had ME2, TOR, all the DAO DLCs, and ME3 going on during development so I can understand that resources were spread. Once TOR get's possibly released later this year and ME3 the next Bioware will have the time and resources to make DA3 a more polished and better experience than DA2.

Wouldn't mind a feature where you could play the campaign with a friend or a relative... wouldn't care for a massive mulitplayer though.

Don't insult Shooters. They are not my genre either (ME nonwithstanding) but no genre deserves that......but I can think of several franchises not getting what they deserve.

I wasn't insulting shooters like Half-Life and S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but COD, Medal of Honor. People don't play those games for the SP campaign, but for the MP. I just don't want that with the DA franchise, sis.

You know some of the first mods out for DA2 were the nude mod and the mod that made Isabella white.

From this, I can easily extrapolate that people who play RPGs are both immature and racist.

Which is why it's a good thing we don't have to interact with them in an online environment. Isn't BSN enough of a warzone?

That was pretty much the mods that DAO got on release.

Thank you for pointing that out. Well nude patches are obvious but the whitewashing of a character...

Hopefully they will give it at least two years instead of rushing it again, Hawke still has some potential to be salvaged.

I'd prefer 4 years time. Like say another rpg released this week,...

What RPG's that? LA Noire? Because I sure as hell know that Witcher 2 isn't an RPG...

Witcher 2 is an action game, and a decent one at that. It's like Assassin's Creed.

I believe the term is Action-RPG.

Indeed, but not everyone agrees with the same definitions. There are many people that don't class ARPGs as real RPGs, particularly on this forum.

You mean that rpg that has nudity, real atmosphere,  choices that matter, and a non-cliche story? Playing that unammed rpg that came out this week just makes me marvel at how horribly done da2 was. Said rpg even makes DAO look small and cartoony by comparison. :(

You realize DA2 was billed as a "action rpg" correct? Then why label witcher 2 an "action" game and forget the key part of the equation? Smells like douchebaggery to me.

Wikipedia divides role playing video games into the following sub-genres:

Action role-playing game
Role-playing shooter
Adventure role-playing game
Dungeon crawl
Japanese-style role-playing game
Roguelike
Massively multiplayer online role-playing game
Role-playing eroge
Online text-based role-playing game
MUD
Strategy role-playing game
Tactical role-playing game
Turn-based role-playing game

So role playing video games has a very wide definition which cam encompass many games that some people on this forum would not consider CRPGS. So DA 2 is a CRPG. Wizardry 1 is a CRPG. Heroes of Might and Magic blurs the line between genres and could be regarded in some aspects as a CRPG.
What DA III will be is up to Bioware.

At least I very much hope my radar isn't that far off, but you never know with text :)
