I feel like I'm in kindergarten again where its "my daddy can beat up your daddy"  seriously grow up people.  Its just another game so its meeting every single standards of an RPG in the last 800 years its paying your mortgage and fixed your relationship problems.... some of us don't need to hear it all the time.  Believe it or not The Witcher 2 isn't the only game in existance and some of us would like to go about our business without hearing about it.
So F-ing what if DA2 didn't meet your standards this behaviour makes me wish no game ever does again because you don't deserve a good game anymore.  Hell with Witcher 2 I guess you can go kill yourself because your life is now fulfilled.

OP use the "A" button, something awesome will happen and everything will be back to normal.

Witcher 2 is my personal GOTY, since Deus Ex Human Revolution is shaping up to be less impressive than I imagined.

For me, it simply confirms that my choice to avoid The Witcher; both the products and the site. Their fans seen here are often crass, rude, and arrogant. And perhaps more telling, many returned quickly here after they finished the New GOTY in a couple of days.

I honestly don't get this. If you think a game looks good, great, amzing etc. why on earth would you let the fanbase sway your decision to play it or not? Granted, if it didn't look like your cup of tea in the first place, that's fine too. But I don't get why you'd let fans sway your opinion/decision either way.

Case in point: I'm sure no one missed the crapstorm that hit over DA2 and all the arguing back and forth about it. I didn't let that stop me from getting the game and playing it. I ended up not liking it, but that wasn't ifluenced by anyone else's opinion.

I've seen very similar behavior from BioWare fans on other sites. As I said in my previous post, I don't understand how you'd let that influence whether you'd play the game itself. If it isn't looking like something you'd want to play anyway, fair enough. But if you're even the least bit intrigued about the game, why let the few obnoxious fans you encounter deprive you of what you may find to be an enjoyable game? It's not like it's multiplayer and you have to put up with them in-game.

Hmm I registered here a long time ago what are you getting at?  There are d***s no matter what game we play. Maybe we returned here because the forum is active the thread is a live and Witcher forums are down.

If you say you like DA2 on the DA forums you get flamed by all the people who swear it's a bad game. If you say you liked Origins you get flamed "this thread again"

People like you don't stop me from buying DA2. It's a single player game. Forums are optional you can easily avoid the whole Witcher thread no one is forcing anyone to even respond. If people didn't respond the thread would eventually die.

Fair enough; bad behavior does not justify the same.

But my funds are quite limited, and supporting a product that has questionable fans, materials, and source quoites  is unlikely to occur. The Witcher did not beckon to me; even more so the sequel. The difference for myself is that I do not feel compelled to go on their forums to rip their games.

Fair enough. It looks like the bottom line is the Witcher series aren't games that tickle your fancy (I think you'd mentioned that before many moons ago anyway). While I find the behavior of some Witcher fans less than exemplary, I enjoy the games immensely. I just find it very odd that people would let obnoxious fans influence their decision on whether or not to play a game since they have nothing to do with the game experience at all. Gotta tell ya though, that if that type of thing influenced me, I'd likely have quit playing BioWare games after every game release.

Ah yes, I can remember people fighting over BG 1 and 2 saying how it's better then any other rpg of the time or Kotor when it came out. Only Bioware game I don't remember people arguing over is Jade Empire.

Yep, that good. The DA series seems just so...insignificant atm. (I still adore it, mind you...but...) As far as unimportant me is concerned, TW2 not only won me over (I was skeptical at first) but completely captured my RPG soul like no other game before has. My Lady Hawke's story still touched me on a more personal level...but TW2's storytelling, the choices, the stunning level design and art, the RPG elements.......CDPR delivered and then some. Cannot wait for DLC, espansions and TW3. (Take your time though, CDPR, don't get lost in the shuffle now!)

When a super BW fan says that, one's better believe it. Stop being ruined by TW2 fanbase and go play the fraking game. It is THAT good!
