Doesn't really make much difference what the DA2 fanatic's do on metacritic is will still outsell DA2.
So everyone that spammed DA2 with 0's on metacritic were objective and rational people?

1. Don't pay attention to the final score, it's an average from so many scores from so many different sources, that it tends to end up too vague and inaccurate
2. Ignore user reviews for the most part, there are a few gems inside that give good objective reviews, but mostly drowned by lots of 10s and 0s.
I tend to read several critic reviews from different sources to form a general opinion. I never trust one single source 100%, but if several magazines and editorials ALL say the same thing, then it is most likely true, unless of course you are into tin-foil hat conspiracies and think they are all bought and paid for.

Look I loved the concept behind The Witcher (1) but I found its execution so flawed I havn't managed to finish a single playthrough yet. (That damn swamp) If told to review it I would give it a solid six or seven out of ten.
Conversely with DA2 I had a great time playing it and managed to finish two different playthroughs so far, but it REALLY needed more dev time to plug in some obviously bad flaws with its presentation. (recycled environs most obvious). It was definitely a solid seven as well, but for different reasons from the witcher.
I always get annoyed at someone who rates ANYTHING 0/10. That would imply it is not a game, and 1/10 implies it is a barely playable game with horrible... well everything. Giving either game such a low score blatantly disregards ANY of their positives.

They're butt frustrated that a new developer shat on Bioware's face, and made everyone realize how terrible DA 2 really was.
Part of the problem, you are.

Well it is no different then fans of origins flaming Da2 with bad scores just because it wasnt origins instead of taking it as its own game.
Ok. I'll take it as its own game.
4/10.
Poor combat for an action-rpg.
Poor story with some highlights, but not redeeming. Incredibly predictable when it doesn't jump the shark, "HURRR IM CRAZY AS ****. EVEN THOUGH WEVE HELPED EACHOTHER ALL GAME IM TURNING ON YOU FOR NO REAL REASON. ALSO IM A BIG MONSTER."
Simplified dialogue.
Stiff animation.
Bland art direction in most environments.
Poor level up choices for some specs (blood mage uses health to cast, but is punished for taking constitution by will requirements?)
Tedious waves of enemies in basically every encounter.
Random waves destroy any sense of tactical positioning, as your position is meaningless when the next wave spawns.
Enemies that are designed as tanks that do massive burst damage? Stealthy "assassins" have high burst and mobility while also having tons of health compared to normal mobs? WTF? An enemy that has no weakness -- that's just bad game design full stop. They have speed, stealth, and high damage. I don't see why they also need to be tanks.
Recycled environments everywhere
Yeah, DA II doesn't hold up at all as "its own game." It's still ****ing terrible and worthy of no more than a 5/10. Comparing it to actual good games like The Witcher 2 and Dragon Age: Origins just makes it look even worse.

LOL I'm gonna assume your new to this site.
This is how any Witcher 2 topic goes (and there are a lot)
"Witcher 2 owns Bioware in every sense of the word and your not a real gamer if you love it and hate Bioware and everything they do"
Its not about telling me about an interesting game.. its about shoving said game down my throat and putting a gun to my head telling me to play it.
Well I cant remember anyone suggesting that anyone that dislikes the Witcher 2 has bad taste in the Witcher 2 threads (though you probably do have bad taste, something tells me that you are a big Heavy Rain fan) however a lot of the Witcher 2 threads do say how much fail Dragon Age 2 is when compared to the Witcher 2. I dont think its so much calling Bioware fans out on their tastes but about showing Bioware that there are other RPG developers out there that actually do care about the quality of their games and if they are going to try to compete with them they will have to step up the quality of their games and stop releasing trash like Dragon Age 2.
They do it because they care, Bioware was once a great game company and they hope that by showing them what a true RPG looks like Bioware will at least try to become the company they once were.

Aside from the insult against him, and the point about caring I agree with you.
I loved DA2, but that game really needed more dev time. However from all the crazyness I have seen involving the hate with DA2, I just can't accept it involves *love.*

When I checked metacritic (just now), really, only 74 out of 822 users gave the game a less than favourable review. That is not even 0.01%! Really, if there were any hurt Bioware fans who indeed decided to down vote TW2, they make an almost negligible minority.
Actually that is close to 10%.
Still means that Witcher 2 ratings are in the ballpark of 90% favourable. But yeah... 10%, not 0.01%.

Can we lock this and go back discussing TW2 and helping each other as we discover this fraking awesome game piece by piece?

After playing TW2 I simply cannot conceive the idea of going back and finishing my latest DA2 run. Stopped a new Hawke at level 22 and that's it. Was a good game for what's worth. Gave me 5 full runs and one incomplete.

There is NO way that Witcher2 can outsell DA2 being a PC exclusive title and looking at so many pirates in PC gaming. DA2 indeed reaps a huge amount of cash if you asked me.
