Most people that duelled the Arishok know that there are 2 different outcomes, Hawke dies or the Arishok dies.
But there is a 3rd! Both die!
Unfortunaly, the game didn't react to it, despite of the game over, of course:(.

Also, there actually is a proper third outcome: If Isabela returns with the relic, you can actually give her to the Arishok to resolve the situation without any more direct conflict.

dot = damage over time
duelling the Arishok implies that you don't hand Isabela over, 'cause if you do you won't duel him
