How to keep everyone, even Anders and Sebastian, in your party

I was just messing around with the beginning of the endgame and amazingly enough found a way to keep both Anders and Sebastian on your side (and alive!). I suppose it is a glitch, though, so I can't promise it won't interfere with any future save transfers.
The only requirement for this seems to be that your surviving sibling needs to have joined the Grey Wardens.
Well, after the having started The Last Straw and having chosen a side as usual, a small battle against those you didn't side with begins. At this point, don't fight! Instead, run to where you would normally encounter Bethany/Carver and have him/her join you. At the party select screen, choose whoever you want with you, then run all the way to where you would normally enter the docks without fighting. If you do stop to fight, Meredith/Orsino will probably win the initial fight on their own, triggering the cutscene where you need to choose between Anders and Sebastian (sadly enough, your sibling has no pre-programmed opinion as to keeping Anders alive or not).
After you have reached the docks entrance, the initial fight won't be completed anymore. I assume that is because Meredith/Orsino and the mages/templars automatically despawn because of the distance between you. Now finish the fight, which will be somewhat harder due to you having triggered all enemy encounters without dealing with them one at a time. For safety reasons, I personally cleared the enemies from the docks entrance backwards, although I don't think that really mattered.
After you clear this area and enter the docks, the 'glitch' has succesfully been completed. At the Gallows, after the coversation between Hawke, Meredith and Orsino, the companions you didn't take with you will strangely enough start walking to the big gate (if sided with the Templars), probably because that initial fight in which they all took part didn't finish properly. Curiously enough, Anders has unique dialogue if you sided with the Tempars, which I suspect is there because he probably 'normally' is able to fight the mages if you have the minimum amount of companions.
Well, that was it. Once again, I can't promise this won't interfere with importing your savefile properly into DA3 or the inevitable expansion. I usually want to kill Anders at this point in the game, so it won't matter for myself, but oh well.

Awesome bug is awesome.
Anders is supposed to be able to side with the templars if you rivaled him. It's gonna be fixed in patch 1.03.
Edit: Huh. Bug doesn't work for me. My allies keep killing the remaining mages and then the scene triggers.

Do you allow Bethany/Carver to join you? Because I assume the resulting party select screen is what 'warps' your companions away from the initial battle.
Yes. I even place Beth in the party. No matter how far I run Meredith eventually killsall the mages and forces the scene where I decide to spare/kill Anders to trigger.

Otherwise, I honestly don't know.

Ultimately, what worked was soloing on casual after the cutscene with Carver. Remove everyone from your team at this point and just run to the end of the map with the stairs. You will have to kill the last group of enemies before you can move to the next map.

Any chance you're playing the PC version? Because from a technical standpoint, I could understand that one being able to handle more (than my 360 version) before having to despawn enemies.

Ah that's the issue. I'm on PC.
Ah well shouldn't be long now before the next patch is out.

Idont understand how Anders would side with the Templars just by wagging a finger at him makes no scene at all o.O
It makes even less sense that the templars would allow him to live after the battle considering what he did even if he helped them against the mages, and later against Meredith.
I think it would be really strange for Anders to fight against the mages no matter how much he loves/hates/respects Hawke. I'd say it's more fitting to have it as it is now, why add a feature that doesn't fit in?
