I really hope the DA2 team read and listened to its core customers instead of telling us what they think is best........
Continue with your Warden, Morrigan, God Baby, through the mirror, maybe import Hawke in some fashion as well, use the DA2 engine with hi res textures, long game, no loose ends, all the things we loved about DAO into DA3.
But this time, I will be waiting to see instead of just pre-ordering it. DA2 was a let down for me in many ways, not a horrible game consdiering it took 18 months to program but not a DAO either, which was what I was hoping for......
For now, The Witcher 2 and soon Dungeon Siege 3 will do.

Yeah in all seriousness if DA3 is going to market the action-rpg like DA2 did, for it's sake better not release in 2012. It will get DOMINATED by Diablo 3.
Will I buy it? next year I got Diablo 3, so no.

.... You do realize that twitter is a vialable resource right:?. especially if its the twitter of one of the developers.
You do realize that if a franchise is cut, the Dev team is generally the last to know right? You do know that twitter rates up there with coffee-room napkin scraps in terms of official news and predictive powers, right?

Edit: Basically a twitter post means bupkis.
Tell that to CNN and other major News networks. Tell that to Newt Gingrich who announced his Run for presidency on twitter. It doesnt mean bupkis. I'm also pretty sure that the Development team, the team in charge of its creation or development would be informed or check if it got cut before looking to hire people. face it old man i winB)

I hope Dragon Age 3 is more like orgins. An epic rpg game in the spirit of baldurs gates.
I don't want Dragon age to be like Baldurs gate. Let the series grow in it's own direction.

You win? An unsubstantiated twitter post means nothing. Trust me on this because I've been around the financial block. If a project or IP is ghoing to be cut, the people on that project are the last to know. Always.
That's just the way it works. Also he was looking to possibly hire a group of people for a group of hypothetical future games one of which might be DA3.
Really that's it. It's about as official as our posts here and should be regarded as such.
Sheesh......

DA2 on the other hand, seems like a decent Bioware game, but is nowhere near the level of DA:O, which offered unique characters, a great storyline and multiple landscapes with a plethora of different cultures to explore. It was a brilliant game because of both it's atmosphere, the cast and the decently put together gameplay.
What Dragon Age 2 does is stuff your character into a single limited map for all fifteen hours of gameplay and extend it as much as possible. What Dragon Age Origins had (Characters with actual depth, engrossing atmosphere, good storyline.) Is replaced with some dwarf talking about the tale of Hawke. In short, Bioware seemed to think, "Hey! We made a lot of money with Origins! Let's rip this bugger dry." And proceeded to make a weak imitation of the original. Even the imitation was good, I must admit, but it is nowhere, repeat, nowhere in comparison to the original.
So if they are thinking of making DA3 by end of February, I'm assuming they are planning to shear the game even further.

Face it, DA2 was exactly what Bioware wanted, for whatever reason they've decided that action RPG are the way to go rather than character RPG's. I've never understood that decision given the success of Origins, but that's the way it is.
And all this is assuming that Bioware will exist for long after the release of TOR, personally I think that if they wanted to do a space MMO they'd have been better off basing if on Mass Effect.

If DA3 continues w/Hawke ..... I'll be sticking with Cd Projekt and Bethesda Softworks for my fantasy RPG's.
So.... if Bio sticks with a player character who's somewhat more restricted than the one you had in DAO you'll stick with a franchise that has a completely predetermined player character?
Exactly what principle are you upholding here?
That is my question as well... what makes people love the TW series so immensely? A completely predetermined player character there, I don't get the point and why this should be something great in an RPG...
but it's as I have stated in another post, games tend to become plug and play, no manual needed, just grab the joypad and start... shudders
I hope DA3 will rather become a DA:O 2. But if February 2013 is true, I don't have much hope that it will be a lot different to DA2... but I would be really happy to be shown the opposite.

No way they go back to the original formula in Origins and I think they do take criticsm of DA2 into consideration, but, then you have a formula once again for a game that will again tried to be billed to multiple audiences and genres, and in the end, I have a feeling I won't be purchasing it at all since DA2 did such a subpar job of that.
And for everybody that hated the overhyped pre release spin on DA2, get ready, cause DA3's pre release build up will likely be worse, Its going to have to be.

Resistance is futile. EA always wins. They will have us purchase another of their turd and when we realize we got owned yet again, EA will be laughing while counting our dollars.

This might apply to some, but definitely not to me. Despite loving DA:O so much I resisted DA2, only played it on my friend's PC (who is very disappointed as well btw), and I will definitely resist to pre-order DA3 or even buy it quickly after release. I will wait, see what it is, and then decide.

Well that sucks and smells like EA. Make something decent and release it in 2014 or something.
