I nuked her from orbit, so she better not be back.

Thane - he's supposed to be dead or progressed far enough into his dying that he's useless, dont change that.
Jacob - yawn.

Ashley - Soldier OR Kaiden - Sentinel
Jack - Biotic (only because Liara is more valuable off the field)
Wrex - Vanguard
Garrus - Infiltrator
Tali - Engineer
Just give them all more customization in their trees and you don't have to have double the number of squad mates like in ME2. I like having a big crew, sure. But a lot of the characters weren't fleshed out and didn't have enough unique skills.

Jacob, Grunt, Samara/Morinth and Zaeed are pretty low on my list
On Mordin being 50, ME3 is suppose to be only a few months after ME2 right? I don’t think he is going to all of sudden be unable to fight.

Seriously. Samara made NO SENSE. At least Liara being in ME3, means less chance of Samara being a squadmate.
Why exactly? Specifically, why does Samara make no sense and Thane, Grunt, or Tali do?
For that matter, why does it make sense that Wrex would help you out of the kindness of his war torn, blood thirsty, and grizzled double hearts?
Why does it make sense for Garrus to pick up and leave the job he's had for years to help a random human that may or may not hate turrians?
Samara actually makes more sense that half the crew if you think about what she does on the suicide mission. Plus she's twice as useful than her counterpart Jack.
Unless of course you're trolling, in which case I just slammed my head with a gold brick wrapped in lemon.

Mordin isn't fifty, he's in his thirties. I don't care what Bioware's site says, Mordin said that his work on Omega was a good "use of last decade" and the average lifespan of a salarian is 40 something. The only thing that makes any sort of logical sense is if he was in his thirties.

I don't particularly hate anyone, I played my game rotating my team so each squadmember got some time in the limelight. Except Legion, but that was only because I had cleared 90% of the game before I got it.

Yeah I know, he 50 in relative to todays lifespan for humans. At 50/30 he is no spring chicken and probably shouldn’t be running around in battle but he is not on his death bed. I was just pointing out that however old he may be, if ME3 is only a few months after ME2 his health is not likely to be drastically different. All the ages on the site are relative to human years, I remember this being confirmed by a dev somewhere. Likewise Grunt isn't 20 and Samara isn't 600GuardianAngel470 wrote...

He's supposed to be dead or at least in bed dying, it was his entire character arc. He was dying, he's trying to repent and after the Collector Base he's "repented" by saving the galaxy. If he's suddenly miraculously cured or feeling better, I'll be angry.
And for those who romanced him... you romanced a terminal guy, what did you expect? :-/

Jack: Boring character with an overstated 'tough' routine.
Thane: Boring and overly dramatic. About everything.
I wasn't crazy about Miranda or Samara, either, but I think with some tweaking they could be far more interesting.

Kasumi was huggable but she volunteered for the box, now she has it and would probably like to spend time with it.
Samara/Morinth both admitted to follow you very specifically because of owed favors. Now they're replayed.
Jacob, while I enjoyed the prospect of a moral character I found he was too much of a blank slate. He never questioned himself or discovered anything interesting.
Mordin is too old, enough said.
Thane should have difficulties breathing.
Grunt has a clan, a purpose, and potential mate offers. He should return to the clan and rally the Krogan with Wrex.
Those are the story reasons why people shouldn't return. Now for the ones I dislike:
Jack makes me angry. I like to think of myself as a cultured person who hardly curses and has never drank/done drugs. So here is some crazy bald chick covered in tattoos, used to drugs and murder, and drops f-bombs every time she opens her mouth. I tried romancing her and always speak to her, but unless Bioware pulls a full 180 that woman is as good as dead.
Tali was just too bland. She was far more interesting in ME2 but didn't have enough time/dialogue to truly develop her own personality. If they keep improving her she has potential though.
Garrus, old buddy old pal. You were with me and Ashley every step in ME1, even killing Saren, and helped me and Miranda in ME2 up to the Reaper fight. But I swear to whatever you Turians worship, if you keep wasting time calibrating those guns I'll shoot you myself.

2. Jack
3. Zaeed
4. Samara/Morinth
5. Thane
Just can't find any reason to give a flip about any of these characters.

Can I just say I loved this post? HAHA made me chuckle -- especially the part about Jack. <3
In all honesty though.. I have to agree with you. I can't stand Jack and I think she is overrated for sure. They better change her up or get rid of her entirely because she was sh*t. At least compared to Samara's character.
Tali was for sure better in ME1 (assuming that was a typo of yours) she ended up sucking in ME2 being way too overly specialized. If she wasn't fighting geth she was basically useless.
That was one thing I didn't like. Some characters felt totally and completely useless. Anything to do with the main story and fighting reapers you would never use Garrus or Tali or anyone that did not have biotics. An exception to that would be Mordin who was useful b/c of his incinerate. But basically you were limited to Samara, Thane, Miranda, and Mordin (depending)...I don't know, I guess it was kind of frustrating when I wanted someone in my party but thought "I can't because s/he will contribute absolutely nothing to the gameplay and I could die."
Maybe others have a different view on this but, personally, I felt limited to the characters I should be using.
