- Completely forget DA 2. Invalidate almost everything that happened and shove it under the rug. Don't even allow an import.
- Hawke is dead, and the mages still rebelled. He's only mentioned as the spark that started the rebellion.
- More focused on the evnts of DA 1 / Awakening, from which saves can be imported.
- Create a character for real this time
- More than one town
- A good combat system (See: Witcher 2 or DA:O)
- A real dialgue system (See: DA:O)
- DA 2's new race appearances, maybe not the elves though.
- A better, impersonal, large story.
- A new inventory system
- Give us The Warden as an NPC and some political fallout from the events of DA:O and the mage uprising, such as a Blight-weakened Ferelden taking in apostates in order to strengthen their military and vie for independence from the chantry.
- BATTLES WITH ONE WAVE OF ENEMIES!!!! Multiple waves on boss fights or special battles can be interesting and mix things up, but ONE WAVE FOR 95% OF THE GAME, PLEASE.
[*]tl;dr: Make it a real RPG. Pandering to an audience you don't even have (CoD console crowd) actually COST you sales on DA II (sold way less than DA:O). Scrap the miserable failure you call Dragon Age 2 and go back to the drawing board, basing the game off of DA:O. If you're going to action-ize the combat anyway, look to how The Witcher 2 did it, where player skill is the only factor in blocking, striking, and evasion, but dice still roll when the player does something.
