Should Bioware Stop Making Games?

Bioware has been making an unforgiveable series of snafus over the last few years. Most recently there is the putrid abomination that is Dragon Age 2. Before that was the dumbing down of the Mass Effect series for ME2, along with tossing realism and continuity out the window. Then there is that horrible Sonic the Hedgehog crap. What was the point of that? And what possessed them to allow CDPR to use the Aurora Engine for the Witcher? I bet they are regretting that decision right now. These screw ups all date back to Bioware's decision to consolize their projects starting with KotOR and the Jade Empire games. Bioware should have just stuck with Baldur's Gate...Heck, they never should have broken away from Black Isle. Bioware should just disband and stop making games altogether. Preferably before ME3 is released and they ruin another IP. What do you all think?

Only bad game from Bioware is DA2 imo.

And we don't know enough about ME3 to say they will ruin this IP.

Aside from that, thumbs up.
Skilled Seeker who's been trolling in the Witcher 2 thread ought to take a look at this. This is how it's done.

Oh please, we all know that Bioware makes nothing but consolized pseudo-RPGs that have been getting less and less RPG with each iteration. Other than BG2, have they even made a good sequel to one of their games? And don't even try to say ME2 since it is far more shooter than RPG.

6/10. Would've been 8/10, but Bioware was always it's own studio and as an ardent Black Isle fanboy, that was unacceptable.
Aside from that, thumbs up.

Damn. I tried to fly high, but was burnt by the sun.

Otherwise, if DA3 turns out to be a mess....

Don't be discouraged. That was actually pretty convincing for the most part. Lol.Zanallen wrote...

And this is bad why? Serious question, why does them not making RPGs mean they're making bad games and should just give up?
I always though that the measure of a games quality wasn't how it compared to the first game or how true it is to the "RPG genre". I always thought the measure of a games quality was how good it was... and last I checked ME2 was up for a number of game of the year awards.
Seriously I can see why you don't like it, but you have to realise that a single person's tastes aren't the best measure of quality. If you don't like bioware's recent games then don't buy them, problem solved. Why does the studio have to shut down to see you satisfied? Why should all their new fans choices and admiration be discarded because you don't like where they're going.
Sorry mate, but I can't stand it when people try and have things banned (or in this case closed down) because they don't like it, it's just ignorant and self centred.
...sorry about that, bit of a pet peeve:unsure:
(Edit: and evidently something to take note of for future trolls:innocent:)

I consider this an very good bit of trolling. It's obvious that you put thought into it.

Trolling is a art.
But I agree on both points.

No they shouldn't but they should fight EA a bit and get more dev time.

They just aren't in a position to do this type of thing.
It's completely unrealistic to think they could. Try going in to your Boss and dictate what you will and will not do and when you'll do it and see how long you keep your job.
And no...why the heck would anyone want Bioware to stop making Games? Don't like 'em, don't buy 'em but don't expect they'll close up shop just because some people are displeased with a particular Title.

This type of trolling was old even when it was new.

Don't like Bioware games? Don't buy them. Easy as that. I loathe Britney Spears. But I won't demand that she should stop recording what passes for "singing" these days.

That's an unfair comparison, don't you think? BioWare's past games have all been masterpieces(NWN for Persistant worlds). While Britney Spears has NEVER released anything remotely worthy of praise.

Don't know what is your point here. I'm not excusing any trolling simply because Imo OP wasn't doing it in his post (if he was - it was good one then).

My reply was eaten by BSN. Anyway:
I used this exaggeration to convey that I'd not even tell someone who has IMO produced naught but mindless trash to give up their career.
I love ME2 and DAII and I want more Bioware games. Those who don't have no right to take that option away. The gall to ask for Bioware employees to be fired, sending hate mail to the devs (Including DEATH THREATS) and demanding that they just quit takes entitlement to an utterly unacceptable level. This is the Bioware fanbase? Really?
