The thread title is a terrible idea. I like BW's direction with DA2 and ME3. I will buy their games despite the fact you don't want them.

Ponders if yelling "leave Britney alone" is too overused and old and if it can still produce chuckles.

@ OP
No, they shouldn't stop. But they should certainly improve, as this is the last time I am ever going to pre-order a Bioware game on faith alone.

@Perse: I think the term "fanbase" means "They'll love your previous work. But if you release one(IMO)mediocre game, we'll call you the Anti-christ, instead of trying to contribute to making the next game better"(which some actually are).

Like an abusive boyfriend. "Sorry I beat you, darlin'. Cook my breakfast the way I like it next time and I won't give you cracked ribs."

Sickening.

Asking this question at a BioWare forum is going to produce skewed results. Not that I see how anyone could logically answer yes unless BioWare's games had a causal link to something harmful. They should keep doing what they do because there is always chance for improvement. There players that considered "Neverwinter Nights" and "Jade Empire" low points, but see later BioWare games as exceptional. If it happened before, it could happen again for anyone. Personally I thought their low point was "Mass Effect". Their later games were improvement. If they stopped at "Mass Effect" though, that would have been it. Then what? Nothing? No thanks.

DA products are out of quality now. ME3 must be a 9.5/10 or I'm done with bioware.

The title says it all really.

Bioware has been making an unforgiveable series of snafus over the last few years. Most recently there is the putrid abomination that is Dragon Age 2. Before that was the dumbing down of the Mass Effect series for ME2, along with tossing realism and continuity out the window. <snip>

I stopped reading there, I agree that DA2 was a big step in the wrong direction but whenever somebody complains about ME2 being dumbed down from ME1 their opinion automatically becomes invalid as it is painfully obvious that they arent judging a game by its merits but rather bashing a game because they cant accept change.

It's better ME3 will be good enough so that I can justly score it 9.5/10
*Thumbs up*

I actually do think they should stop... Unless they make their DLC free.

You are basing this on something as meaningless as DLC? (In comparison.......)

Wow...
looks like some folks believe we're in Ancient Rome or Feudal Japan where it was expected of one to "fall on their sword" when they failed.

No they shouldn't but they should fight EA a bit and get more dev time.

Just have the doctors tag team whoever is in charge.

The doctors are EA fanboys, see signature. They aren't going to tag team anyone in charge unless...well nevermind that, it would get me banned. They probably made the decision to push Dragon Age 2 out the door in 18 months, just to please their "mentor."

Maybe games like DA2, but definitely not games altogether. I'm rather looking forward to the next Mass Effect.

OP@

You my friend are just as Important as any other person on this site, Bioware has given us Great story, action, character development and one thing that was really rare. I cared about the characters. I spent hours of "my" own time making sure they didn't die. Now I'm not saying I'm a fanboy or that its perfect. But what more do you want? I bet you couldn't do half as good.

I have spoken out against bioware before so, on one part I agree with you yes they have got sloppy but that doesn't mean we should loose- what would be the right word...Faith?

They shouldn't stop entirely, but take a break to revise what they have done. Cause what's done recently is not on par with BioWare's previous quality.

for me bioware must return to they roots and split on EA... I don't want see bioware destroyed they maked awesome titles in past... But now.. like brent sayd is a different company... And since after da2 i will be much more careful to puchase theyr products... But the thing i hate.. Are the marketing and pr lies.. and this dlc selling crawling... They seems interested only in profict and not to make nice games...
For my luck exist company like cd.project that have care for theyr fan.. I hope bioware become like it on future.. But right now is no more bioware is EAware..

nah now that they're being surpassed by the likes of CDP and perhaps soon Eidos Montreal and have to compete with Skyrim, it'll be more fun to see them try to compete rather than rest on their laurels and tell fans to get over it

i do kinda question how they're going to impress folks with story-based DA2 dlc tho, by the time it comes out a lot of folks will have played The Witcher 2 and be anticipating Deus Ex

can DA2 ever redeem itself or should they abandon it to make DA3 better?
