The weekends mean fewer, or even, NO answers at all to questions

But there are other ways to learn

Readership in forums like this one is traditionally already low from late spring througth the fall, due to the instense competition from so very many outdoor and seasonal activities.  During the middle of the week, a question may go all day long before anyone who recognizes the problem may suggest anything in response.  Add in the weekend influence, and many questions get no answers at all (very particularly when they are unnecessary questions, already asked and answered many times).

Most of the Bioware Social forums took a major nosedive in reasdership over the past summer, and most still are very slow even now, as I edit this comment.  Experienced gamers are just not hanging around much, and a few of use who do still wander in from time to time are totally bored to tears at repeating the same answers to the same questions so often, so we may ignore people who don't appear to make a stab at finding anything on their own.

There are pinned threads on top of the forum with some answers already in them, and there is a forum Search function (although it is actually a terrible thing):

Because it is such a badly crippled thing, you almost certainly will be better off using Google or Yahoo with a "site:" redirector added to point back to here.  Thus, instead of no answer at all, you can find the already answered threads and get back to playing the game much sooner.

Should the search fail to include a usable answer, there is a fairly standard report form that PC game forums all suggest and is needed here as well:

I'll add the equivalent of one "FAQ", for those who are always in a hurry, and ignored the system requirements label on the game:

Here are the minimum requirements for DA2, with my comment about the minimum Radeon

      Minimum:
OS: Windows XP 32-bit with SP3
OS: Windows Vista 32-bit with SP2
      OS: Windows 7
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo (or equivalent) running at 1.8 GHz or greater
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 (or equivalent) running at 1.8 GHz or greater
RAM: 1 GB (1.5 GB Vista and Windows 7)
Video: Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB (should be 2600 XT or X1800 GTO)
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS 256 MB cards (unless this really should
          have been the 7800 GS)
Disc Drive: DVD ROM drive required
      Hard Drive: 7 GB
Sound: Direct X 9.0c Compatible Sound Card Windows Experience
           Index: 4.5

Laptop or mobile versions of the above supported video cards
have not had extensive testing and may have driver or other
performance issues. As such, they are not officially
           supported in Dragon Age II.

As far as I can discern, all issues that get brought up, both in DAO and DA2 tech support, are old issues that have answers readily available. You'll see a heavy increase in activity any time anything new comes out until it is decided that no new issues are occurring in which case our presence will be very limited. Obviously this is not the most ideal situation for new users with issues but it is a necessary use of resources.

That said, Legacy releases next tuesday so I'll be here all day tuesday (and probably the rest of the week) to answer any questions.
