Firepower Pack.
It adds the Mattock assault rifle, a very powerful semi automatic rifle. It's not this compact, high rate of fire, pansy Avenger or SMG crap. It's a man's rifle made for man's work

It is a god-tier killing machine when used with adrenaline rush. It's also powerful in the hands of squad mates. Samara is basically an entire heavy weapons squad when she's using it; not only is it a powerful rifle, she has biotics to go with it.
Firepower pack also adds the Geth Plasma Shotgun and the Phalanx pistol. The GPS is effective at ranges greater than regular shotguns. It's a good weapon for shotgun wielding squad mates. It's also devastating in the hands of a soldier Shepard in conjunction with AR, or a Vanguard Shepard in conjuction with charge. The GPS can be charged up by holding the firing button for a very powerful shot, at the cost of two ammo instead of one. The Phalanx is a godsend pistol for the caster classes that start out with an SMG and pistol. The Phalanx is like the Carnifex in that it's effective at much greater range than an SMG, but it also has more ammo than the Carnifex. It inflicts massive damage per shot (even more than Carnifex), but rate of fire is slower, so make the shots count.
The Aegis pack gives you Kestrel armor and the Incisor sniper rifle. The Kestral armor set can be used in its entirety, or you can mix and match parts of it with regular N7 armor. I don't care for how the Kestral components look aesthetically, but it is a nice armor set. I frequently use the Kestral greaves and gauntlets. I can't bring myself to use the Kestral chestplate though. It doesn't have the N7 logo on it. I have to have my N7 logo. That way, every badguy I take out will know it was done courtesy of the Alliance Special Forces. The Incisor sniper rifle, unlike other sniper rifles, works very good at removing shields. It's not a good rifle for the player, though, because it's impossible to keep ammo for it. It uses ammo fast and the ammo pickups are minimal. However, it's very powerful in the hands of squad mates since they apparently don't suffer the usual ~45% damage reduction with it that they do other weapons. I usually have Thane use the Incisor as it seems like the kind of rifle he would use. The Incisor is sort of like the Viper in that it's really more of a designated marksman's kind of weapon, than a pure sniper rifle (I consider the Mantis and Widow to be "pure" sniper rifles).
