At first I put my points into constitution, but now I think that was a bad decsion and should I put points into dex or strength?

If you want access to the best of Shale's crystals, you're stuck giving her at least 38 strength and 38 constitution. She'll need at least 18 dexterity for disengage.
With this setup, she'll never have high defense, though she can have a good armor rating and high health.

Shale works better with higher armor and health.
I would avoid boosting her str since shes a extremly poor damage dealer.
