I'm not sure how that works exactly, but if you do the paragon thing in his mission and try to save some people, I'm pretty sure you can let him die at the end when he gets pinned.AfrokingJ wrote...
I like the fact that if you do the Zaeed mission after you beat the game You can kill him.

Harbinger: Shepard, Spare us and we will ignore your species, you will live through the next cycle...
Shepard: What about the other races?!
Harbinger: They will be destroyed, the cycle can not be broken
Shepard: but you just sai-
Harbinger: You can not comprehend!! Now choose, will your insignificant race perish or prosper?
Wrex: Shepard don't listen to him.
Udina: Do it for humanity Shepard.
Anderson: This is bigger than humanity!
Hackett: Shepard, This might be our only hope for survival.
Kirrahe: The fact he's offering this option shows that he's unsure of victory.
<Paragon> Shepard: forget it Harbinger! If they're going down we sure as hell are going down with them.
Anderson: All ships attack!
(Massive Space Battle, Lot's of casualties) (If council was killed there are fewer human casualties, If council was saved the destiny ascension will assist resulting in fewer alien deaths. Rachni assist. Geth or Quarians too. succes depending on species loyalty.)
<Renegade> Shepard: Allright Harbinger. It's the best option for humanity.
Hackett: All Alliance ships pull back.
(Alien fleets left, Reapers destroy them all. humans dominate the galaxy for the entirity of the next cycle having such a big headstart.)

The grand fleet you've put together comes to a world with three Reapers on the ground in large cities. If you bombard the cities from orbit, all the civilians in thoe three cities die, but you guarantee destruction of the grounded Reapers. This would be the renegade choice.
The Paragon choice would be too let the Reapers lift off and fight them in space, suffering heavy casualties, but saving the civilians.

Proto-man, I think while a cool choice that doesn't work because Shepard would just be an idiot to trust the reapers. It's basically turning him into Saren 2.
Egads. I'm a paragon player that's also pro-human (just not anti- anyone else) but there is no way IN HELL I would make that deal. My first priority would be to protect Earth, but making a deal with the damned Reapers ultimately and always ends badly.
I'd spit in Harby's eye, kill him, and ****** on his ashes.

lol its an interesting idea, which i have actually thought of myself before (after that whole saren ordeal). but in reality i would expect the reapers to use and discard any organics, if anything they would offer just to get shep offguard or something. like the poster above said, it would be a stupid choice on shepards part.
on the other hand i would maybe agree with the reapers request if they let my ash live also. then me and ashley could go commando on all those aliens with the machines on our side. ultimately my shep is paragon tho, and im pretty accepting of the other races. except for a couple, like the turian and batarians, there anti-human comments make me rage.
Most Turians seem to be OK. The councilor, yeah, he's an ass to be sure.
Gotta agree on the Batarians, though. Maybe the Reapers will facestomp them for me.....

really hoping we get some choice to kill off/fire joker. he is the only character in mass effect that i despise, everybody else is amazing and interesting. maybe it has to do with the fact that i hate seth green, and raged once i got to the head of normandy and heard that voice (i recognized it instantly).
i can just picture him in the studio while they were making this game, urging them to make his character a hard-ass and perfect pilot. his cocky arrogant attitude/side comments directly reflect his real life personality, a loser. if you have ever seen his appearances in that 70s show, or entourage, he always plays a social outcast loser that nobody likes. please allow me to break his legs and finish the job his desiese started.
I know some one who feels the same way and he purposfully failed the joker mission in ME2 multiple times just to here seth green scream. Is that wierd?

my thoughts on promotions
Miranda will become the Illusive Woman
Liara is the Shadow Broker.
Kaidan or Ashley will become Admiral of the Alliance.
If you chose to rally the crowd in Tali's mission she's an Flotilla Admiral
Garrus is the new Turian Councilor
I wanted to kill Zaeed in his mission but i didn't know you had to just not talk to him on omega until you beat the game. my team's Zaeed was crushed when the human reaper destroyed our platforms. I felt bad i didn't get to murder him and then later when you read about his retirement plans it seems a moot point. Maybe we can buy statues for our comrades.

Hey! I don't like it when you talk about me behind my back! Also, I agree I want to have an option to kill Joker. Renegade Shepard really doesn't have much reason for him, what with EDI basically capable of overtaking his job and the whole Renegade mindset of "If you're a weakness to me, you're just as much an enemy as the Reapers" in mind when looking at his as-the-plot-demands crippled legs. And as a Paragon option, you can research to find Joker some cybernetics of some kind that at least let him walk around the ship without looking like a lumbering ogre.

Paragon: Ah, yes "Reapers"
Neutral: Ah, yes "Reapers"
Renegade: Ah, yes "Reapers"

Having the ability to sacrifice Shepard's life (at the end obviously) for his LI would be a rather interesting decision.
