While us Xbox/PC users paid $20 for the core game.....

When the game was a new Xbox/PC release, it did cost $50. And for that price you'd only get the game. Add how much you've paid for DLC's and the total will be around $80, I guess.
ME 2 is not a new game but it's a new PS3 item and costs $50, for this price they get everything but 1 DLC + the comic. And yet they charge Xbox/PC users extra while they should've updated Xbox/PC versions with the comic by releasing a patch. it's not about 4 bucks. And so what that there's the save editor or that ME 1 is not avalaible on PS3 (some games are entirely only available on PS3, so to speak), it's a matter of principle. It's just not exactly fair to give PS3 players almost everything for the same price that others had to pay when ME 2 came out. And after that, charge additionally for the comic.

And btw, if you prefer steam versions of games basically and would decide to buy ME 2 today, you'd still have to pay $50. Steam price politcs is not the topic here, it's just an example how PC gamers still have a good chance to pay the same and get less.

Yes, we get Mass Effect, but sometimes I don't want to play through ME1 just to get the decisions I want. ME1 is fantastic, but sometimes I'd like to play ME2 on its own without having Wreav and the human Council forced upon me every bl**dy time. I say, if the PS3 gets the comic free, so should the rest of us, whether or not they didn't get the first game. It's a rip off. It doesn't matter too much, but it's still a rip off. Next thing you know the PS3 will get an exclusive squadmate in ME3.

And no, I'm not going to use the save editor. I don't even know how.

Then learn. It would take less time than buying and downloading the DLC if all you want to do is the basic story plot. Cheaper too.

And this is coming from the guy who bought all the DLC for ME 1 and 2, and have over twenty playthroughs of ME1. (I love ME to death, but I just can't play it anymore.)

@Geth_Prime

Exactly, the only thing preventing you from not knowing how to use it, is you. If you want to play through ME2 on your 7+ playthrough and playthrough the Tedium of gathering resources and metagaming to make the P/R decisions you want to, and make whole ME1 playthroughs just just change a few decisions, then well, by all means, go ahead and spend your time doing so.

The tutorial is easy, the process is easy, the community is helpful, so yourself is to blame.

And I'm wondering why would anyone want to get that crap even for free.

This isn't just a quick comic video, it lets you make the choices from ME1 you want without having to play it, so you can have a variety of choices for a new ME2 character that doesn't have to be imported. Otherwise, every time you start a new game in ME2, the Council will have died, Wrex will have been killed, Udina will be the head of the Human led Council, aliens will hate humans etc. A lot of my ME1 saves got wiped out, so something like this would be great for a person in my situation. Though I do agree that the price seems a bit steep

Get a save editor.

It's free, faster, no need to listen and watch badly made comic and you have lot more choices to choose.

Nearly bought Genesis cos I had just finished my third playthrough this month - Hardcore and Insanity and wanted my lvl 60..... thought the dlc would be a good way to get some different character classes through to ME2, but you know I've just started with my Adept ---
ME1 is just too good a game to miss out

Just have to find time for DA1 DA2 & KOTOR and possibly a little LA Noire..

Genesis is atrocious. Bioware would have to pay me to download it.

True, true. But then this is only taking advantage of the people that don't know about the editor. And the fact that apparently, if the whole community knows about it why make us or new people pay for it? Or better yet release it at all? Its a product thats not worth its weight so it should be free.

Like others have said the save editor is probably a better option as it's free and allows a lot more changes to be made ( you can get paragon conrad verner!).
PS can anyone tell me if you download the comic is it in the intro of every new game you start?

It appears to be in new non-imported games as well as imported ones; however, the imported games give you a comic that tells you about your choices except for the Udina/Anderson choice. You make that one in the comic itself.

this is exactly the kind of stuff why developers scam gamers with DLC. because it's apparent people are actually willing to buy this **** (even defend them). DLC is the worst thing to happen in this generation of gaming. buy are incomplete game and pay for the rest.

As opposed to the previous generation where we buy incomplete games (like KOTOR2) and that's it? What parts of ME1 and ME2 are incomplete? The DLCs are all bonus ideas that came later, and are mostly really enjoyable. You really think the comic is something meant to be in the original game that was left out? Saying DLC shouldn't exist at all, or it's "THE WORST THING EVAR!!11" is so stupid. We'd have never seen something like LOTSB even without DLC. It would have just been cut content.

ME2 was complete WITHOUT the DLC. DLC is just another reason to pick up the game again. Although to be honest, I miss the days of expansion packs.

The comic is only worth a dollar to me. Drop it to 80 points and then I'll buy it.

I don't have the comic, but I think it's obvious that if you don't import a save then the comic is automatically played.

That's because in ME1, the game never saves after you make that choice.

I'd heard that an auto save is made after the credits were finished loading but I've never had a chance to test that theory out.
