I've been messing around with the Infiltrator quite a bit lately, and I've come across a build that has given me countless fun. I'd like to share it with you.
Disruptor Ammo- Rank 2
Squad Cryo Ammo
Assassination Cloak
Incinerate- Rank 2
AI Hacking- Rank 2
Assassin
Enhanced Dominate
Basically this build focuses on incapacitating/distracting your opponents and keeping control of the battle at all times. I've normally been rolling with Thane and Garrus with a mix of 2 vipers and the Widow. If by some strange chance that I do not get the 1hk with the Widow, Thane and Garrus will successfully freeze and kill my target. If that doesn't happen, then I can dominate/AI hack them to provide a distraction while I take out everyone else.
So far, I always have at least one person dominated/hacked, and it had made everyone else easy for the pickings. I don't even really use the cloak anymore except for the harder enemies/bosses.
What do you guys think?
Infiltrator CC build.

I like the build except Squad cryo. Let me get this out of the way first, I LOVE CRYO, but I ran into a lot of problems with teammate freezing my enemies that I was going to Hack/dominate.
Personally, I like
1 - Disruptor
4 - Incinerate
4 - Hack
4 - Dominate
4 - Assassin
4 - Assassination Cloak
But if that build works, by all means rumble with it.

Interesting. I love squad cry too much though. Maybe I can change dominate to something else. Having frozen enemies strung about the battlefield is just too satisfying. lol

I briefly toyed with this so I can't say much, but in my experience, it may be better not using any ammo powers because cryo ammo screws up with AI Hack/Dominate. You can then put points into Incinerate. Or, only use squad disruptor ammo because its effect duration is much shorter, but yet enough to protect you from immediate attacks, and it's good for your widow/smgs for breaking shields faster. I would also use Enhanced Cloak so that you're able to be much more mobile. In any case, it's always interesting to try different setups.

LOL, drop the squad cryo, max incinerate and take the Shotgun instead of the Widow, for some true up close hacking fun.

What does CC mean?

Crowd control.
You need to max Hacking if you are going to play on higher difficulties at least. I was not happy with the lower ranks. I also think Dominate should be kept maxed. You can sacrifice Squad Cryo and even some ranks of Cloak (I tried this myself and it works fine even at rank 2).

Indeed. You'll need Enhanced Dominate and Improved AI Hacking to get the most out of these powers, and controlling enemies who will distract occupy their pals makes Cloak less useful. Cloak will be your panic button (to get you out of a tough spot) and to move around to get yourself into a better position - Cloak rank 3 is more than enough. I'd go with something like this:
Disruptor 3 or 10 (squad)
Cryo 1
Cloak 6
Incinerate 3 or 10 (Blast)
Improved AI Hacking
Agent
Enhanced Dominate

If you want to run a Control Build revolving around AI Hacking and Dominate you might be better off running as an Engineer over an Infiltrator. You can also use Combat Drone to keep enemies distracted while you run around taking control of targets. Granted you lose Cryo Rounds but you can off-set that with Cryo Blast which has a short CD. (http://social.biowar.../index/4610116/)
If you're dead set on playing an infiltrator consider the Agent Build (http://social.biowar...1/index/5287894) It revolves around Cryo and Flashbang Grenades to control the field.

The Total Control Engineer build is nice, but I would make a few changes to the original post.
This is what I would run now.
Overload 3
Incinerate 3
Explosive Drone
AI Hacking 3
Cryo Blast 2
Demolisher
Enhanced Dominate
In order to get full utility from Dominate, especially against elites, you have to take it to rank 4. Your thrall will not serve as a distraction until the stun animation is over, so you need the extra duration.
Mechanic also suffers from a glitch. The 15% duration bonus will not keep an enemy under your control longer, but WILL increase the time he keeps the protection from your Dominate (silly). So unless you want your newfound slave to start shooting you with a healthy barrier, you want to spec for Demolisher. This also helps beef up your Incinerate & Overload because you're giving up their rank 4 evolutions for total lock-down.
As for Drone, Attack Drone is better during a NG run, but Explosive functions better on NG+, when enemies will quickly dispatch it (observed through extensive testing).
As far as the extra weapon selection goes, either the Mattock or GPS is best. The Viper's scope zoom will mess up your casting, which is what the build is centered around, so I advise against it.

Well 15% duration should also beef up Incinerate. Unless there is also a glitch there.
I still think it's best to have full rank Hacking. I say this because I've used this against larger synthetics, and often I've wanted just a bit more duration. For example, in one of my infiltrator videos, a hacked Destroyer ALMOST kills three other Geth on its own, but then the duration runs out.
If you take the GPS then you can more or less just drop Overload rank 3. The GPS is brilliant against shields and barriers. Not so much against armor, but that's where Incinerate will help. Unfortunately, you are forced to drop Incinerate to rank 2 for Improved AI Hacking. Once again prerequisites spoil our fun.
