Nepros is the site of the rachni horde you fight alongside some Marines for and the location of the game's two brood warriors, in case it didn't ring any immediate bells.
Anyway, I'd finished curbstomping the two brood warriors and when I exited the mine, the game suddenly loaded everything in such a manner that the frame rate for everything dropped to like two. It was pretty horrifying -- even in the menu it ran like I was trying to play Crysis on Windows 98.
When I reloaded it was fine but I just thought I'd bring this up. My ME1 disc is in pretty good condition and my Xbox 360 was purchased less than a month ago. I haven't run into any other problems so far (apart from the usual ME1-related hiccups, especially because I bought the 4GB so until I grab an HDD I can't install the game) but this freaked me out.
Encountered a glitch I haven't seen before on Nepros.

If it was a one off glitch, it could have been anything from a memory leak, slight heat issue, or drive hiccup.
I would keep an eye on it though, it could be an early warning sign you are about to get the dreaded RROD.

That would be most peculiar though, as it's one of the new Slim models (with the much better rate about not getting an RROD) and I purchased new just weeks ago. So I probably don't have anything to worry about there -- and if I wind up wrong, well it's still under warranty for a long time!
