Wyo! So I've bought the Ultimate Edition, retail disc months ago and saving it for my new PC. After I installed it, configured it and click 'Play', it pop out an error message saying " Could not find the Dragon Age disk. Please insert the disk and try again ." So, I just reinstall it by putting the disk back to it, yet same thing happens.

Edit in May 26th 2011, 1:39am: Alright, as dinria suggested, the game will play if I inserted the disc 1. I thought DVD is need not to play with, well at least I can still play game.

Here comes a new problem, it would crash randomly in the middle of roaming, having conversation and won't back to normal. It just stuck! I waited quite some time and I have to shut down the PC. Anyone know if there's patch for this?

I was going to patch it but I checked and it need not, it's already 1.04 version. My PC spec: Processor, Intel Core i5-2500k, 3.3GHz. Ram is 4GB. Grahpic ASUS EAH5670, 1GB. Speakers (Realtek HD Audio). Window 7 Home Premium 64-bit. No third party mods installed.

I did read the DAO Solutions Round-up. But can't find the solutions I want or rather I'm too frustrated to miss it? I've been seraching and google-d the whole evening, and nothing yet. Restarted the PC twice, and still the same error message. I think something must been missing? Or needed some certain patches?

I really have no idea, because I have waited 5 months for this game and wanting to play it so badly! Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I haven't got UE for myself but if there are two discs (Origins and Awakening) you have to use Awakening disc for the game to recognize the disc.

For your knowing the game will, probably, crash a lot since there is a CTD bug for Win7x64 at the moment.

The first disc should be the one you use for Ultimate Edition. And honestly, I've been running it for a many months on a Win 7 x64 desktop with little problem.

I would suggest that the original poster do a complete uninstall of the game, reboot, reinstall, and reboot again before trying to play. Give your registry a chance to update. If that still does not work, please report back and we can try some other options.

And no... you do not need to patch the game.

BTW... make sure your Windows User Account has administrator access.

Alright I managed to play it with the disc inserted. I thought DVDs doesn't need to. And My DLCs was unauthorized, but managed to fix it. Thanks for mentioning the disc!
