You realy don't have to.  The sales are speaking in this case.

There are a lot of factors involved in sales. And even for the sales they did lose, does that mean every single one of those people is never going to touch a DA game again? Could just as well be that if DA3 is more to their liking, they'll buy it anyway.

You wanna play an amazing game that probably took 6 weeks to make? Play Limbo.

DA2's voice acting is pretty good. It's one thing Bioware's consistently does well nowadays.

True.

And to be fair to TW2, its a Polish game with the English being localized. So comparing TW2's English voice acting would be like comparing DA2's other localized versions, which I don't think stack up as favorably as the native English, or so I've heard.

I don't find any flaws with the TW2's localization, frankly. Then again, I played TW1 before the EE patch came out. So... *shrug*

I have noticed some repeat voices, but I blame the actors for having distinctive voices instead of just sounding bland. How dare they?!? :P
But overall I really liked the English voice-over and given that CD Projekt RED were localizing for like 9 languages counting both subs and full VO, I think they did a fantastic job.

I was talking more about losing "potential fans" of DA2. Not about losing those fans forever.

Meh, I'll judge the VA I get in my game. I got english (in TW1 anyway), so that's what I'll judge.

Oh, and I thought it was common knowledge that DA2 was rushed. Do we really need any more proof than what's in the game?

Yes we do.

To what end?

Even the birds on the trees know this by now. If all the criticism and feedback Bioware got didn't make that clear than I doubt anything will.

Till they do something about it and we won't know at least what direction they plan to take with DA3 until DA2 content DLC starts hitting.

All things considered, the VAs did pretty good.

Better than the performances I've heard out of Witcher 2 for the past 10 hours I've been playing it.

Oh, the writing and voice performances in that game is just a goldmine of cringe.

You and I have a different definition of the term ''cringe-worthy''. But whatever, it seems to be your game to whine on anything Witcher and praise everything Dragon Age. What should I call you...a reverse-troll?

Dragon Age 2 had pretty good voice acting. One of its few good points.

Well, I doubt you'll be hearing anything about the direction DA3 will be taken on anytime soon, so keep singing "DA2 was rushed" until you're blue. Maybe that'll prompt them to give you what you want.

What a great game of ''does not does too'' you guys are playing. You realize by saying ''does not'' everytime a whiner says ''does too'' you're just as loud and obnoxious as he is right? So keep counter-whining until you turn blue, maybe that'll make em stop.

Solid voice acting but nothing special. Drama scenes were complete hoax in this game. Very unconvincing, but I don't cast blame purely on voice actors for that. Mostly writing which failed to make me care. I cared more for Duncan and noble human's parents in dao than I did for any character in DAII.

Excuse me, but which one of us is the troll here?

Okay, in retrospect, that was a cheap shot. But eh.

Anyway, I've voiced my criticisms of DA2 several times. That you make a shallow assertion about me based on a post or three is your problem.

As for The Witcher...it's so very easy to mock. So pardon me for indulging.

+1

The hitchcock zoom on Hawke's face in the conclusion of "All That Remains" was hilarious.

Yor opinion. If you want cringe-worthy, play TW1 without the EE patch.

Even without the EE patch The Witcher had some really cingeworthy dialogue. But yeah you've got to cut CDProjekt some slack in that regards, they're not writing their game in the English language. Things are naturally going to come out awkward at times.

Troll harder please.

I'm pointing out the fact that feedback has been given and received, as evidenced by several Bioware staff members ackowledging points raised on these forums over the last month. How that feedback is going to impact the development of DA3 is unknown and it won't be known until Bioware is ready to start talking about it officialy.

So anyone here who thinks beating up the dead horse over and over will get them some official reply from Bioware and a thorough explanation of what they'll change for DA3 is sadly mistaken.

I, for one, enjoyed DA2 and, based on my experience with theor games over the last decade, have faith that their future products will be to my liking.

You find the Witcher easy to mock. Yet you have no problem with Dragon Age II...should I write you a list? How about those NPCs faces, the cop out single ending, the ''you won't know what happens unless you buy the DLC'' mechanics, the female's hands, the choices that don't mean squat, the stupid fetch quests (Oh here's your wife's skeleton, -Ahh thanks I wondered where I put it), the whole Flemmeth teasing, the exploding enemies, the armored templars ninja-dropping from the ceiling, the bandit cave that turned into an apostate hideout that turned into a monster den? The brown color palette? Those trees that look like they came out of Morrowind? Should I continue? Why don't you mock those things instead of bashing a game that actually tries to respect its fanbase instead of attempting to empty their wallets by spending the least possible efforts?

Also, I have not made any assumptions. I have seen many of your posts, as you have seen mine, from what I can gather. I know exactly where you stand and I reassert what I said: you are a counter-troll.

Please show me some links. And I'm not talking about ''We know you're whining we read it'' kind of comments. I want comments that explicitly represent what you just said ''aknowledging points raised on these forums''. I want to see links saying ''We know you didn't like (X,Y,Z) we're hearing you''.

I'm waiting. If you do find some I'll gladly aknowledge them and your point, as I'm not spending so much time on these forums out of spite but out of fear for the direction of the series. Does that make me a troll...then so be it, I'll gladly be one if thats what it takes.

Also, your love or hate of DAII doesn't add anything to your argument. I get it, you love the game. I hear you.

Alright. Either you guys can cut it out with the back and forth insults and the petty bickering, or I can lock this thread, hand out bans and hope that the idea of respectfully disagreeing might finally sink in for some of you.

I leave the choice up to you.

Awesome, reminds me of elementary school. You guys don't shy away from locking topics so be my guest.

I haven't seen any insulting, or is troll an insult now? Bickering is the meat and potato of every forum, you should know that much.

I personally think EA has learned there lesson. Even DA2 fans have criticized the game for it's short coming and DA2 sales are nowhere near DAO sales.

Good, good.Image IPB

*runs away before she gets flamed*

They made more profit with DA2 than DAO though. DAO barely scraped even. So speaking from a purely short term business perspective, DA2 was the bigger success.

Um...something to back that up please? Because I have yet to see anywhere, including in the thread where we discuss this very topic of sales, anyone providing links to actual numbers that back up such claims.

Or, since you are known for practicing your trolling on other threads, is this just more practice?

The way it's used on this forum? Yes, I'd consider troll an insult. Same with counter-troll. And just because some discussions degenerate into 'no, YOU'RE the one with the wrong opinions', doesn't excuse it when others do the same.

All I've asked at any point is that discussion be civil and opinions be shared in a fashion that -promotes- civil discussion. Nothing more, nothing less.

I certainly don't think I'm asking all that much here.
