Though I did like Triss's voice from TW1 better. And where was Shani.

I'd jump to buy that instantly.
But hey, if they can get better English VA's, I'm not complaining.

Yes.

Got bored in Flotsam long before I was exposed to too much of these, so I can't say.

Vernon, Zoltan
They're all right. Them and the King from the Prologue were the only one's I'd describe as "good."
Triss and Dandelion can take their reading-an-encyclopedia-article-they're-not-interested-in style "delivery" and GTFO.

Thread derailed. Somewhat.

DA2 has its flaws, clearly, but I never really thought for a second that VA was one of them. Even Hawke's sarcastic lines that fell flat or sounded totally inappropriate... came off to me that that was working as intended.
Same with Inon Zur being rushed about the soundtrack, I felt it was a dramatic improvement on DAO. They should rush him next time.
That said, I'm not denying that the game was rushed, or that aspects of it suffered for it. Just... not the VA and music.

On topic, I had no issues with DA2's voice acting (in native English, obviously).

Agreed, 110%.
FWIW, I enjoyed the game even if it was rushed. Would I prefer them to take their time if they have infinite resources next time? Sure, but I still enjoyed DA2 as the product it was.

But still, rushing a game in any way is a bad thing. From the looks of it, Inon Zur and the Voice Over Director weren't exactly comfortable being rushed.
I wish we could get a DAO style game again. Even if it took another five years to be developed.
DA2 style games releasing every 2 years is not preferable to me. Unfortunately, that'll make the company more profit, so that's probably what we'll get.
Quantity over quality.

Us expecting them to not care about profits would be naive, and if they were to completely disregard quality as a matter of intent it would be suicidal.

But if I was making games, I'd rather be a part of three 10/10 rated games over the course of 12 years than six 7.5/10 games over the course of 12 years.

EA shut down my favorite development studio of all time (Origin Systems Inc) and I still don't view them as the bogeyman everyone else says they are.

If only ZeniMax would've made the offer instead of EA. They don't crack the whip and tell their devs to work harder. They understand that producing a quality product takes time. Unlike EA, who then shuts down a dev for not making enough profit(which is a result of them asking the dev to rush out the game).
My indifferent experiences with 2 Bethesda and 1 Obsidian game makes me say I'm not so sure.

EA also closed down a studio for making a crappy game (NBA Elite 11) that would have been destroyed by its rival, critically and financially.

That's odd. If they shut down Black Isle Studios, I would definitely think of them as soulless bastards.

Soulless bastards =/= bogeyman.
It's just business.
Doesn't make it any less simultaneously sad and annoying.

I wonder who people consider to be worse- Activision or EA.
I can safely say that no one is the lesser evil among them.

This line of thinking is a serious problem with these boards. People don't seem to understand, or dont want to understand, that Bioware and EA are the same thing. There is not one without the other. It's not just EA's fault DA2 sucked, Bioware is also directly responsible because they are a single entity.
Seriously people, Bioware = EA.
Think of it like Meredith and Cullen.
Meredith is EA, Cullen is Bioware. Meredith's the one giving harsh orders, while Cullen's the reluctant and well-meaning templar who is often forced to obey, but still Cullen can't help but giving hints once in a while he disagrees with Meredith's thinkings.
Until Cullen decides to allow Hawke to rule Kirkwall. Does Bioware plan to do the same is that what your saying?

LOL, and who's Hawke in this situation?
Cause I know that if the fans made the games, they'd simultaneously be the best and worst games ever made.
