Or leave him with his vengeance tree? I want him to go full healer and SH seems to have a few nicer additions for a healer

The vengeance tree is deceivingly strong actually. Check some guide threads, they usually include builds/tactics for companions, too. Anders is always included in the recommended party. He doesn't heal as much with the party heal, but his cooldowns are very short with the passive and martyr skill.

oh i wouldnt make him fulltime healer...i found the right tactics on my last run with Merril as healer, switching HA on and off as needed

ha...i know what you mean...but im doing an all guy run, so i need him as a healer....cant really see any other of the guys as healers

PC only im afraid, you can use the console commands to give anyone any talent
