Shepard is a woman dammit!

It seems like the marketing department is trying their damnest to convince us Shepard is a man.
Now come on EA and Bioware, we know perfectly well Shepard is a woman.
You know it, I know it, and Jennifer Hale knows it.
Hell, Jennifer Hale almost won an award for it...almost... Ok so yeah, Jennifer Hale doesn't have nearly enough celebrity status to come close to beating Tricia Helfer at the VGA's.
But still, the fact they actually took notice of a non big screen non big celebrity voice actress such as herself is proof enough that she's pretty damn good.
So, in short, lets see some fem shep promos for Mass Effect 3, how 'bout it Bioware?

Maybe in the next games of the franchise.

In all seriousness I would actually like to see both Male and Female shep back to back on the cover. The only problem is femshep doesn't have a face model.

However, I agree though I prefer maleshep. Femshep could use some more respect in advertising / trailers to be honest.

My Shepard has always been a dude and always will be. I just can't emerge myself into the story while pretending to be a woman as long as I'm not one.

As much as I support gender equality, FemShep elitism isn't really the way to get more people to join your cause.
That's the only way FemShep fans can communicate, it seems.

Exactly, this is another opinion passing itself off as the word of god. I just want all the femshep supporters to stop barking and just shut up, it's a matter of opinion. Maleshep is used in adverts, end of story. ME3 is final game in 'Shepard trilogy', who knows, after that there may be more games with female protagonists.
Although maleshep players are more common, you rarely come across one as arrogant and opinionated as the average femshep elitist. Many of them are just way too 'in-your-face' about their opinion, and it's getting boring. It's the same as the VA wars that commonly plague these forums. The Hale supporters are much louder than the people who prefer Mark Meer.

Funny... it's mostly people like you who get warned by a moderator for trolling in the FemShep thread. And you want to talk about how to communicate...

That is a great idea. I think they stick male shep on everything to avoid confusion in people not associated with the Mass Effect series. And also because, let's face it. Appealing to the majority of gamers (being males) is probably a smarter way to advertise your product.. However, we femgamers are growing by the day! =)
Either way i think it's too late for M.E 3 to suddenly equalize it.. Maybe the next Dragon Age can have both genders advertised evenly. Because we all know Hawke is a woman too! XD

And yet here you are, trolling me by bringing up my bans.
But what to expect from an hypocritical turd like yourself?
And it seems like I hit a nerve. Unsurprising.

1) Ensure that the option to customize Shepard - including sex - is described on the back of the box and on the website.
2) Offer a FemShep or non-ManShep alternative box art in the BioWare store for purchase.
But yeah, they aren't going to ditch their Shepard cover model. Not happening.

I'd hardly call it sexist, though. I consider the ability to play either gender a liberty that many games don't grant, and the fact that the voice overs are done so well that'd I'd even consider them superior to the 'canon' gender is just an added bonus.
I still fail to see why so many people like the male shep better though...

There is a good enough reason for the moderator to ban a specific user, otherwise they will not do it, right? But since they accepted the complain, does that mean what you did in that thread can be defined as Trolling?
You are stepping on your own toe....again.
As far as I know, most femshep members love their character because they can relate to them, so does other related to maleshep. I just don't understand why there has to be Male or Female, right or wrong, do or do not fighting?
You love your character and so do I, and lets just keep it that way.

Don't turn this into another goddamn VA flame war.

No, I understand that others have an opinion, and I'm not insinuating yours is invalid, I'm just saying I find it difficult to see why others have that opinion.
I prefer oranges to apples, but I can see why some might prefer apples. I just feel there is a real qualitative difference between male and female shepard, as opposed to just a difference in taste. That said, some people love b-grade movies too. Kidding.
My apologies if I'm retreading a tired argument, I don't really come here often.

I actually don't reckon ever getting banned from something I posted on the FemShep thread. I was banned three times: the first for what I said in the Fight for the Love thread; the second for posting on a troll thread, and the third was not informed to me, but I'm sure it was not for something I posted in the FemShep thread because it's been a rather long time since I've been there.
So you're talking rubbish.
Anyway, there'd be no problem whatsoever if you FemShep fans would keep your preference of FemShep to yourselves or to the FemShep thread.
But since you insist on worshipping her in public, insulting Meer's voice acting and ManShep fans in the process, it truly can't be helped.
