Because that's your opinion, in MY opinion, he has a better VA and is a better character.
Don't turn this into another goddamn VA flame war.

No, I understand that others have an opinion, and I'm not insinuating yours is invalid, I'm just saying I find it difficult to see why others have that opinion.

I prefer oranges to apples, but I can see why some might prefer apples. I just feel there is a real qualitative difference between male and female shepard, as opposed to just a difference in taste. That said, some people love b-grade movies too. Kidding.

My apologies if I'm retreading a tired argument, I don't really come here often.

As do I, though I don't expect everyone to share in my assessment:

ME1:  Hale > Meer
ME2:  Hale < Meer

So you're talking rubbish.

But since you insist on worshipping her in public, insulting Meer's voice acting and ManShep fans in the process, it truly can't be helped.

In which comment in which thread did I do worshipping femshep? and Insulting Meer's voice acting? I'm not trying to picking a fight or whatsoever you may think of.

You should ask more before you talk as matter of fact that I have one maleshep character, and I played as maleshep when I'm insulting Mark's voice? You give me a good laugh

When I said "you" I meant "you FemShep fans", not you specifically, you megalomaniac.

And yes, there will always be exceptions, but it is tiring to point that out, and I assume you'd be smart enough to take that for granted.

As much as I support gender equality, FemShep elitism isn't really the way to get more people to join your cause.

That's the only way FemShep fans can communicate, it seems.

Funny... it's mostly people like you who get warned by a moderator for trolling in the FemShep thread. And you want to talk about how to communicate...

And yet here you are, trolling me by bringing up my bans.

But what to expect from an hypocritical turd like yourself?

And it seems like I hit a nerve. Unsurprising.

Your post speaks for itself.

Reported. :)

Whoa now!  Whoa boy!  Whoa!

Seems I leaped onto a fiery stallion with this one!  :?

Let's settle down folks, my initial comment...every hear of this guy?

It wasn't meant to be taken so seriously.

I honestly had no idea there was a heated debate about femship promos. But it's the internet so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I just thought it be nice that Jennifer Hale got one is all.

I think Meer is better than Hale at certain points in ME2. Meer expressed angry emotions a little better and such.

I honestly thought that Hale sounded bored out of her mind most of the times.
Here's something you can compare Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer with.

You know, it seems everytime I see promos for this series, Shepard is the same bald bland dude, it's been that way for Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and now it seems Mass Effect 3.

It seems like the marketing department is trying their damnest to convince us Shepard is a man.

Now come on EA and Bioware, we know perfectly well Shepard is a woman.

You know it, I know it, and Jennifer Hale knows it.

Hell, Jennifer Hale almost won an award for it...almost... Ok so yeah, Jennifer Hale doesn't have nearly enough celebrity status to come close to beating Tricia Helfer at the VGA's.

But still, the fact they actually took notice of a non big screen non big celebrity voice actress such as herself is proof enough that she's pretty damn good.

So, in short, lets see some fem shep promos for Mass Effect 3, how 'bout it Bioware?

4 out of 5 players play male characters exclusively.

Men are physically stronger than woman and therefore superior (in general).

There is no way that a woman could be the best soldier out of all humanity. It is utterly preposterous.

Your opinions concerning Jennifer Hale's voice acting are noted.  But they are merely your opinion

Conclusion: Realistically. Shepard HAS to be a man.

Feel the need to knock you off your high horse. As such I'll say this: 3/4 male shepard vs 1/4 female shepard. For marketing purposes it makes sense to use the male shepard, yet you folks don't seem to grasp that simple concept.

What I'm saying is that the vocal majority of FemShep players like to talk smack about Meer's voice acting, which sparks all those horrible discussions.

The same goes fot SW: KotOR 2. Yet canonically Jedi Exile is female.

Men are physically stronger than woman and therefore superior (in general).

a) not in XXII century - augmentations anyone?.
B) being physically stronger was good in Medieval Ages not in XXI century and beyond

Conclusion: Realistically. Shepard HAS to be a man.

Realistically, you're a troll.

Shepard's gender is entirely up to the player.
One isn't more valid than the other.

For me it's because FemShep's VO in ME2 was annoying.
To 'breathey' and 'sultry', like she was constantly bored and horny.

Maybe because if it was prissy and high pitched then people like Darkhour would have even more trouble taking her for a genuine hero of the galaxy.

A) Wouldn't an augmented male still be stronger than an augmented female?
B) Strong physical conditioning is still bloody important.

Also. This is not to flame femshep or anything.

Because that's the only other option other than bored and horny?
She could just try sounding more like she did in ME1.
