I didn't mind the 'soul of my species' comment and I liked the "I've had enough of this colony" comment. Because, by the time it was over, I really HAD had enough of that damned colony.

I really cringe on Thane's recruitment when you use the paragon conversation choice to the second group of Salarian workers you rescue. This is the one where the freaked out Salarian threatens to shoot you. The Paragon convo choice:

Shepard: What's your name?
Telon: My name is Telon. Please...don't come any closer.
Shepard: Telon, my name is Commander Shepard

That last line is delivered in such a way that it sounds like he's Mr Rogers talking to a 4 year old. However, I always choose it because I don't really want to threaten the little guy or punch him with the renegade interrupt. It's not his fault he just got assaulted by mechs and mercs working for his psychotic employer, after all.

Paragon on mordins loyalty mission, sole survivors talking about cerberus to vasir and kenson after you get to object rho. Paragon dialogue on mordins loyalty mission is just naive, stupid and ignorant. "Look what the genophage did to tuchanka" Seriously? You sure that wasn't from when the krogans nuked themselves like almost a dozen characters mention?
SS to vasir needs no explanation and Kenson makes me wish I could strangle her through the tv. Shes so annoying!

The thing about Mordin's loyalty mission is that it didn't let me cover that I understood why the Genophage was necessary the first time, but that it had strayed from it's orginal purpose.

It was designed to stabilize the population, but the Krogan are going extinct because of it, so it's not stabilizing anything anymore, genophage has become genocide.

But apparently I'm not smart enough to say that.

Wasea: Everything's gone to hell since we smuggled that filthy creature off-world.

This line delivery is so painful. I always cringe when I hear it again.

Pretty much all of the LotsB dialogue.

The Telon Paragon option ranks high in that category as well. The Samara loyalty part where she says something to the likes of : "You are an artist on the battle field" , really irks me . The "Don't **** with Aria" not withstanding, That line alone would warrant a " B!tch please" interrupt.

"It doesn't matter" in LotSB.
"That son of the b***h betrayed me!" *five minutes later* "That was a brilliant idea, TIM".
"You've become an annoyance". Collage from Dr. Evil speech. Well, at least he doesn't ask one million dollars.
P.s.

The "Don't **** with Aria" not withstanding, That line alone would warrant a " B!tch please" interrupt.

That too.

Agreed.  The renegade line should've been along the lines of....

"But....what if I bought you dinner first?"

Oh my God, that was horrible! I almost face palmed myself to death :|

By far my top pick for worst line ever. There should have been an interupt option, "(stiffled laughter) Wait a minute, umm... are you serious?"

Also: Anything Jack says, ever.

Also: Most things that Samara says.

Even Garrus started to annoy me, with his new troubled tough guy attitude, and he's one of my favorite characters!

Oh wait I almost forgot second place for worst lines ever: f*cking Thane! Dear lord! When he trips out and starts narrorating his own memories out loud and twitching alot with the flash back scenes massively over dramaticized as if his memory of talking to Mouse back in the day is a post trauma flash back... yeah this game might best be played on mute with captions turned off :|

Actually, ME2 was horrible in general for lines. There were a LOT of bad ones as this thread demonstrates. In ME all the characters seemed to take the MISSION seriously, but in ME2 all the characters seem to take THEMSELVES too seriously and their self serving douchey monologues always result in terrible corny lines. Then there's the goofy gigantic terminator skeleton Reaper in the equally goofy 90's era arcade style boss fight.

I guess I like ME2, but I don't know how anyone could like it more than ME... :(

That 'spill some drinks line' followed by 'I hear that' between Shep and Jacob. Jacob lines sounded the worst when they wanted him to sound 'black'. Also, Jack hopping around on crates back lit yammering about why she's a bad ass made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

I hate most of the early dialogue with TIM, as it gave me the impression early on that all my choices were pointless.

I hated the VS conversation. I was dead or in a coma for two years for crying out loud! How could I contact you when I was like that?

All the Tela Vasir death conversation. Honestly that just compounded the TIM thing and pissed me off more considering I had split from cerberus when I played it.

Being a douchebag to mordin during genophage.

This thread has made me realize that as good as Mass Effect's writing is, it also has some of the worst.

The Paragon answer to Khalisa al-Jilani if you chose to concentrate on sovereign.
You're asked about the sacrifice of 10,000 lives and the response is "It was time for humanity to find it's own path"? And then some rubbish about how humanity deserves the chance to excel. With no hint of regret for the people who died.

It's utterly horrible and I can only guess it was written to be the response to a different question unless we're supposed to hate Shepard.

On the other hand, the paragon option if you saved the Destiny Ascension is fantastic, in my opinion.

Anyways, the Horizon conversation was just irritating. It was like Shepard had completely forgotten how to say 'I don't work for Cerberus, ******!' for 5 minutes of his life, and was incredibly irritating to listen to.

Oh, and I facepalmed every time Jacob said 'sounds like a Suicide Mission'. Hell, going to the supermarket and picking up some milk would be a 'suicide mission' if you gave the task to Jacob.

Still not as bad as mass effects one's "On the double Mister"

Whaat! :o That's my favourite line from ME1 - "... on the double mister!"

For me the most cringeworthy line is in the Arrival DLC:

Harbinger: "Prepare yourselves for the arrival..."
I literally .

Shepard
-"I won't let fear compromise who I am"
-"I will win this war without sacrificing the soul of our species"
-(When talking to Aria)"I like it easy to remember" *Shepard smiles like jack****
-Paragon dialogue on Mordin's loyalty mission
-"Telon, I'm Commander Shepard" (This line just made me want to puke)
-"I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite store on the Citadel"
-In fact I just have to say that a lot of the paragon dialogue makes Shepard sound cheesy and idiotic

Jack
-"I'm pissed off I'm a dangerous ***** but then I'm a little girl again."

Jacob
-"Sounds like a suicide mission to me." (He says that way too much like someone else said everything is a suicide mission)
-"I'm not big on forcing these talks" (What a jerk)

Miranda
-"Want to rot here with the mechs be my guest" (So much for Shepard surviving eh?)
-"I don't mind if you admire my body now"
