Also when Hackett calls you and says there's possible evidence that Reapers are invading Shepard says: "Why call me?"

During Arrival...

Kenson: I will die having never seen the Reapers' blessings. And you will just die!

That last sentence. Ugggh. It's so awkward sounding. :pinched:

"Ah yes 'Reapers.'." If I can't throw that back in his face I'm gonna be upset.

During kasumi's loyalty mission when she calls hock a murderer, sounds so terrible that i always make fun of the line when i hear it

I've always liked the "I got better" line because of the Monty Python reference.

"She's a witch, she turned me into a newt!"

*crowd gives awkward stare*

"...I got better."

The ones that presently come to mind, in no particular order...

Joker: "They're coming around for another attack."

The deliver is so completely flat and emotionless that I felt it diminished the overall atmosphere. I should not be cringe laughing whilst witnessing the destruction of the Normandy. Seth Green is rarely poor on delivery but this was one instance he lost his edge.

Shepard: "I will not sacrifice the essence of our species."

Beyond the horrendous facepalm worthy cheese of this statement. It reflects embarrassingly moronic blind idealism when presented with a enormous decision. I have absolute disdain for the whole choice itself but if the focus fell specifically on a distrust of TIM. It would be begrudgingly acceptable. As it stands, it is arguably the worst line in the game.

Squadmate: "They're going to target Earth."

What? How in the world you know this? There is nothing to remotely indicate this was the intention and is merely BioWare's poor attempt at foreshadowing. In addition, it insinuates the the Collectors would survive an assault through Citadel space, which is unfounded nonsense.

Batarian: "You are like a flicking of hope to light the way through the dark tunnel."

I believe there may be a bit more but I cannot recall. Either way, this is massive prose, which says something because I am one to fancy articulate use of the English language. BioWare tried too hard here.

Pretty much everything Liara says on Illium.

Except for one exchange:
L: Truck.
S: I know.
L: Truck!
S: I know!
L: TRUCK!
S: There we go!
L: You're enjoying this, aren't you?

I do like Liara. I don't like her being a vengeful robot.

Everything in the first interactive conversation with Miranda, most especially:

Shepard: I've had enough of this station to last a lifetime.
Miranda: Or two, in your case.

ARRRRGGGHHH!!! What happened, Miss Genetic Perfection? Did they forget to include genes for clever wit?

(and hell yes, I wanted to be able to say "Well...bye." when she says "You can stay here and rot with the mechs.")

Shepard's lines when you romance Tali are all painful to listen to.

Wilson: This really isn't the time, Jacob.
Jacob: We won't make it if he's expecting to get shot in the back.
Wilson: If you want to ****** off the boss it's your ass, Jacob.

Just plain bad writing. I already knew that Wilson was talking to Jacob. Besides there being no reason to identify the intended receiptient of his sentence, it sounds stupid. Actually, anything Wilson says sounds terrible.

Also, in ME1 when you first speak to the Council about Saren's involvement in the Eden Prime attacks, both Shepard and Anderson sound like whiny children: "We don't care I'd there's no proof or any witnesses besides us! Saran did it!"

I agreed with everything else but this one just didn't make sense to me. I can understand saying that such an attack would be impossible, but the line immediately preceding this one should perfectly explain where this line comes from.

I'll paraphrase/quote: "The collectors could harvest every human in the Terminus systems and not have enough to fill these pods."

Implying that they would need more humans at some point. Most human colonies that we know about are either really remote and small, like Feros and many of those presented in sidequests, or large and near Earth, like Eden Prime and Terra Nova.

Saying that the squadmate's line makes no sense is kinda oversimplifying the situation. Yeah, targetting Earth seems like a bad idea, especially with Arcturus right there, but with the squadmate's understanding of the Collectors at that point, it isn't beyond the realm of possibility. Remember, we didn't know that the Collectors only had one ship until the suicide mission and that line was delivered before then.

I'm doing a replay of ME2 at the moment, and it has to be when you meet with Ash on Horizon. She goes over how you're a 'God' etc, and the option for 'I missed you too' is "Ash, it's been too long!" I mean...Really? I just cringe every time I hear that and have to reload the final battle so I can choose another option.

Not wanting to take this topic too OT, I think "The same ship dogging me for two years?" line that is said prior to the squadmate line could be a way to identify this is the only ship they have. Ok, we know the whole ship was bait for a trap, but still one other thing about that squadmate line is, it really would have only made sense for some of the squad to say it, not everyone and even then it seems bonkers they would think that one ship would stand a chance of attacking Earth. The colonies were easy to take out due most likely to poor defences (Horizon's weren't even operational at the time of attack), Earths defences would have obliterated that ship before it even landed. Any squadmate with any intelligence would know this. So I agree with Bourne that the "They're going to target Earth!" line is stupid.

'It's good to see you again Shepard' - Liara, Illium, really gets my goat everytime. It's so flat and emotionless.

Everytime Shepard submits to TIM. I get that he pretty much has no other choices, but couldn't there at least be an option where Shep insults him or predict his future?

TIM: Shepard, we have new-
Shepard: You are going to die, Illusive Man. When this is all over, and I'm back with the Alliance. I will kill you.
TIM:
Shepard: What was it you wanted to tell me? =]

Starcraft 2's dialog was pretty cheesy.

Any and ALL dialog between a female Shepard and Jacob. I felt so dirty every time I spoke to him; I half-expected some cheesy smooth-jazz to start playing, and then Shepard's clothes suddenly falling off.

Oh, and Tali's romance dialog. That stuff was delivered in such a creepy deadpan, it literally made me shudder. Especially when she added the "FEEL your SKIN against MINE" parts. At that point, I had images of Space Buffalo Bill creeping into my skull.

"So I've finished the next mission and should talk to my new crew. Jacob is one the 2nd deck, so let's start."
-I'm more interested in just _talking_ for a bit
"Errr, EDI? If you'll handle this survellance vid to Kaidan, I'll handle you with an Eviscerator"
____

It's a pity. Jacob really have pretty nice dialogues, even brofist, but I was able to talk with him only at my maleSheps runs - even my single femSheps felt terrified

"Human dominance, or just Cerberus?" at the end. It sounds really stupid if you saved the base, and Shepard seems to say it no matter what. I dislike how every single dialogue option with TIM at the end is hostile towards him and Cerberus. Why can't I celebrate my victory and give some epic speech about how we're gonna kick Reaper ass?

The option to ask 'what about us' in LOTSB, that may be paragon but it just seems dickish after romancing someone else in ME2
