I'm a little confused by what it says on the wikia about how to romance Merrill:

It will require 50% friendship/rivalry by act 2.

Does this mean I have to keep her at halfway between rival and friend until Act 2, or halfway to maxing one or the other? Also does it mean I can't go any higher than that until Act 2 if I want the option to woo her further?

Halfway to maxing, and no; get her as high as you want. There are no Leliana bugs here, thankfully.

It does mean I'm back to square one in trying to decide who to romance next though.
Fenris has that whole brooding soul thing going on but Merrill is my dream girl. Oh gawsh.
