Interesting. I would be keen on both those ideas..Cinnabar6 wrote...
I suppose I should add "as far as you know".
For example , my partner's immediate response is "A World War I shooter". He really wants to get into the muck and mayhem of trench warfare. I, on the other hand would love an RPG that tells the story of one of Stephenson's spies right from Camp X through to the final days of the war in Europe, complete with moral quandaries (I love to agonize over choices) and working through alternative history impacts of those choices. Something like "Mass Effect" meets "The Saboteur".
What do you think? Has anyone out there once thought "I wish They would make a game about (fill in blank)"?
Thanks for reading.
What game do you want to play that has not been produced yet?

Also, a spiritual successor to Republic Commando, Alliance Infiltrator. Play as one of these guys.
And Star Wars Battlefront 3. And KotOR 3. And Baldur's Gate 3.

Quake 5
Re-boot of Mass Effect far into the future, post-Reapers (if there is such a things at the conclusion of ME3). A new story with references spread throughout of an ancient heroic human warrior named "Shepard" who saved a galaxy that was worth saving.

Hey, try Trine. It has bit of the same wibe.

Oh and an amazing spy RPG.. You know an alpha protocol that's actually good, maybe set in the MGS universe, would love to see what Hideo Kojima could do with RPG elements, and a return of the old school survival horror, you know, cluncky controls, ominous music, and a heavy lean on atmosphere.
Old school survival horror? isn't that what Zero/Project Zero/Fatal Frame is? Only game series to genuinely scare the pants of me. And Alpha Protocol's not that bad, i've played worse.
I also like the sound of your openworld Steampunk game.
This doesn't count but i want a western publisher to pick up Way of the Samurai 4, or to see the newer Yakuza games on the 360.

If you haven't played it yet, Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magick Obscura might be worth checking out. It's an old Troika Steampunk RPG set in a fantasy world's Victorian-Industrial era.

Personally, I'd really love to see a (Bioware made) KOTOR 3. Unfortunately it's never going to happen now.

Never getting to finish Kain's tale still bothers me. He finally got to see the Elder god and then it ended. it was a perfect spot to pick up in a sequel. Arg!
Also Simon Templeman as Kain and David Warner as Irenicus are still the pinnacle of voice acting in a game, in my opinion.

Blade Runner RPG
As far as I know, there is a Blade Runner adventure. By Westwood Studios (RIP). Came as a bonus with my Pioneer slot-in DVD drive (I usually remember good extras). Slight shooting part. - Was the game released earlier (1985 or so) an RPG? It looked more like an Arcade game.
While at Westwood Studios: I really liked Legend of Kyrandia. I would not want a 3D-remake but something with drawn 2D characters and environment.

I'd really like a GOOD Stargate game that is NOT a MMO(Resistance & Worlds<_<).
A sequel to Freelancer.
And last I'd wish that the game developers would create a game where in the very far future: man is no longer aware of his origin world & where man has expanded to other Galaxies (the homeworld has been lost to time- talking millions of years here). And due to an enemy the likes of which that not even the Reapers of the ME universe have seen........ (Reapers would be incenerated on just grazing these enemys' shields....) For the very reason of our species survival the character is sent on a mission to find it and start over; or maybe to find a weapon that is mythologized to be there that can defeat this enemy who consider that all matter in the universe to be their enemy........
Please NO Battlestar Galactica references at all please!!!!!!
I'm talking million of years, not thousands as BSG portrayed.<_<.
I'm talking about Regression Theory but with multiple galaxies.......

Pokemon with a plot. I've heard White/Black improved on this, but I haven't played either yet.
A series of RPGs using rarely used historical settings.
Soul Calibur: The RPG.
Battle Royale: The RPG.
Jade Empire 2.
FF6 Remake.

How about entirely new games set in the
d&d worlds. (with the same style party based tactical gameplay, of course) One in Greyhawk, one in the Forgotten Realms, one in
Planescape, one in Ravenloft, one in Hollow World, one in Dark Sun...
All using the 2nd edition rules.

You are in one of several crowded locations Armed with a 44 Magnum. while Waldo has a knife and is out to kill you. The whole point of the game was to find waldo before he finds you. Even if it were a joke, so would have played it. Hell still would.

Count me in. I still love tactical party based combat games. The Marketers say those type games won't sell anymore, but if you craft a great story with meaniful NPC interaction and more importantly make it relatively bug free, then I think there is still a market for those type of games. The games might not sell to COD audience but there still plenty of folks who crave this type of gameplay to make a modest profit.

No need to to have cutting edge graphics either. Hell, i wouldn't mind if they kept it 2d and just updated the infinity engine to next gen standards.

Funny, I was just talking about this game on another thread. One of my all time favorites, though I'd love to see it remade with a better graphics engine.
Or a sequel...though that will never happen even if Troika still existed.
