With my copy, the game has been working fine until you go to the Imperial City for the first time. It simply freezes on the loading screen when it gets to a certain point at the end. One time out of the 8 times or so I tried, it gave me a message that my xbox needed to be updated and started flashing red. I do regularly update the xbox and do not know of any that I do not have. Every other time, however, it pulls up the loading scene and freezes toward the end. I've tried both skipping and playing through the flying game and watching and skipping through the flight cutscene. My copy is somewhat scratched. I am considering if I should buy and try another copy.

I don't know if updates fixed it but Kotor 2 had a similar problem in that no matter what disc you used, at a certain point in the game on the 360, it would give a "disc read error".

I do not want to waste time and money to buy another copy if it is most likely not going to work.

What year did you purchase your console? I have played through several times on my 360 with no problems. I would have to say it is the disc. If there was a compatability issue it would not let you play from the start. I play the Limited Edition but have never heard of this problem on any forum before.

I purchased it in 2006 and update it regularly. I have returned the copy I was using and will purchase another used one. Hopefully, I will be able to play through.
