Are you still working on fixing bugs Bioware? Is the Genesis patch the last one we will ever find for this game? Have you perminantely moved on to your newer projects and therefore ME2 is nothing more than history to you? Its your choice and your right to stop supporting the game (since it is your game) but we must know, don't you think so Bioware? :?

The forum description tells that the Official game support is provided by Electronic Arts. This doesn't mean anything to me, as Jesse has answered numerous times in the past here, which means that he doesn't want to answer here. The thread about audio has been completely neglected from Bioware, but other issues have received attention, so Jesse should have answered here too.

Anyway, the official EA forums (http://support.ea.com/) have indeed a "SUPPORT" section, and the mass effect 2 support is on the following address:
http://support.ea.co.../p/352/search/1
Unfortunately the ME2 topics are fixed, which means that we cannot create any new thread (named for example audio issues). These ME2 topics cover ONLY THE BASICS, so this support page is completely useless.

I've written on a different EA forum site (electronic arts UK community) on the mass effect section about the audio issues. My thread is called "Does ea (still) support the ps3 me2?" and it is on the following address:
http://forums.electr...uk/mass-effect/
I don't expect an answer though since these are only the UK forums and not the global EA forums. :?

i think they know about the issue but it sounds like one of those issues that is very deep with in the game which is caused by the transfer of the graphics system from ME2 system to ME3 for PS3.

I know they are not linked but it is probable to have a negative effect on other parts of the game due to such a transfer.

I am sure Bioware are working on the issue but it is likely its best not to give dates on such fixes due to it being better not to get gamers hopes up on a future patch if it will take longer than they first planned.

Exactly, Electronic Arts provide official support, and thus are the ones you need to speak to. Bioware reps come to these forums on their own free time, they are not paid to inhabit these forums and answer questions. Your logic that Jesse should have answered this topic is invalid, as they are not obligated to be on these forums, and do it, as I mentioned, in their own spare time and of their own good will. With ME3 on its way, you can pretty much bet he is spending a lot of his time working on that, and has less time to dedicate to the forums.

With EA providing official game support, that means they are the ones who raise the support tickets, and thus have the capacity for tracking how many queries get logged for particular bugs. Forums, whether here, or on EA's site, are not the way to go about raising this issue.
The best way to raise this issue, is to lodge either an email request, or use the live chat sessions to deal with an EA rep. Once this is done, a support ticket is raised, with a corresponding ticket number. Make sure you take note of this ticket number when it is given to you, it is your way to track its progress throughout the support chain.
No ticket = no problem.
If you do not receive a satisfactory response, then you go to the forums, asking other users if they have the same problem, and start taking down ticket numbers in order to assess the voracity of the problem, how many have reported it properly, and the range of numbers, which indicates how long it has been for some people since it was first reported.
With official stats, comes official attention to the problem. Without those stats, the problem can just be ignored because noone reported it properly.
Once you have a good deal of stats, if you do not receive a satisfactory response, then its time to take the matter further, and contact the appropriate consumer rights organisation in your area.

I've read somewhere that BioWare has a patch pending, but Sony postponed it due to the network issues.
Remember, patches have to pass through Microsoft and Sony first before they become public.

To be honest with you, if that is the only big issue left to fix, I would be happy even if they are not going to release anymore patches.

I have playd Dragon Age 2 pre-patches and it was a DISASTER! bug wise...and still kind of is.

I don't agree with you about the audio issue, as I am sure that it has NOTHING TO DO with the mass effect 3 engine (used in ps3 ME2). The reason of the audio issues existance (wich is clearly a performance issue) is the hasty and without care porting process of ME2 from xbox 360 to ps3. PS3 is a platform with a completely different philosophy and architecture from the xbox 360 and therefore a lot of care must be given during the porting process, in order for the ps3 special features and specifications be properly exploited. Only then can a ps3 port perform decently. That is the reason why I think that ME3 will also have audio issues.
I agree with you that performance fixes need a lot of time and if Bioware is indeed working for a patch like this, the patch wont be available very soon. This doesn't mean that they don't have to assure as that the game is still being supported (without giving any information about bugs and fixes if they dont want to). I just sold my copy of ME2 as I am really tired and angry with the whole situation. Yes the game is amazing but this doesn't forgive them for a hasty port like this. If ME2 is properly patched in the future, then I will definately buy it again (ME3 too).
