Why is that weapon so darn expensive when the stats are crap??? Is it a bug?
It cost 94 gold coins and it needs 42 dex to equip. Is it me or is it spirit damage is really strong in this game?
Anyone knows?

Spirit damage is strong because it ignores armour and apparently your resistance to it will be halved if you don't have 100% resistance (so I have been told).
I haven't actually used that weapon myself as I spend too much time playing as a mage and haven't played around with elemental damage in other classes yet.
On the attribute requirement a high dex skill increases your critical chance, which equals higher damage when combined with high critical damage, so it is a good thing really.

There is one other spirirt damage dagger that can be bought in act 3 too. Together they are pretty fearsome. Also...there really arnt a ton of really neccesay buys for a rogue. Etched Ring of the Twins, stealth boots, and those 2 daggers are probably a good bet. Youll find most other gear you want.

Yes, Makers Kiss upgraded with 2 spirit damage runes and Shadows Claw(bought at weaponsmith in Lowtown) pretty much shreds through undead, mages, templars, revenants, and darkspawn type enemies. Worth it.

you can also use 2 nature daggers if you don't want to spend the coin. One is in the Rogue Item DLC and the other is gained in Sebastian's Faith Quest (Act 3), so both are for free. Anyway, it's really overpower using the nature daggers agains nature weaks and the spirit ones agains spirit weaks, since any enemy immune against spirit is weak against nature...

shadow claw is awesome but iv never used the makers kiss because of it's price and low base damage.
Is it that great? or is it better pairing shadow claw with jarvias shank or finesse and use nature daggers for alt weapons.
It's a lot of gold, and im torn between buying it or eddies lucky talisman.

Close, but not exactly. Resistance is halved against spirit damage. If you have 100% resistance, it becomes 50%. If you have immunity, then it has no effect.
Important to distinguish between 100% resistance and immunity, precisely because of situations like this.

Well, that is to say, spirit damage resistance is not halved. So if they have 100% spirit damage resistance, that is the same thing as spirit immunity and they are in fact immune to spirit damage. Generic magic and damage resistances are halved.

Yes that's right. Thanks for clarifying
