So I have ben playing The witcher 2 as of late, (awsome game btw) and was thinking of how sweet it would be to play as the fabled monster hunter Geralt of Rivia! I know there is a pretty sweet mod for DAO that adds his armor and 2 swords and ithink maybe his hair and a face preset, if only there was one for DA2 I would be so very happy! So if someone wants to undertake this great project I believe alot of people would support you. (I know I would!)

I know of two people over at the Xentax forums who are working on extracting the asset files, as well as being able to create a viewer. So far it's been possible to extract the assets and convert the texture files to .dds. (I've been able to successfully, and I must say, the textures are pretty sexy.)
It's been about a week since the game was released, so give it a bit more time. I am amazed at how fast they've been able to work through it though. Once it's possible to view the actual meshes in a 3D program, I'll take a look at it to see if it wouldn't be too difficult to get the models into DA2. Weapons shouldn't be too difficult, armour could require some work though.

that is great news! I could wait on the armor and in the meanwhile use some sort of rogue armor, I know its nothing like geralts sweet gear but I have ben using sir issacs armor. there is hair in the chargen that slightly resembles geralts only its quite a bit shorter..(I dunno how hard it would be to edit hair meshes and make it longer) His eyes wouldnt be too hard to make, a slight recolor of flemeths eyes and change the pupil into a cats pupil and its almost the same..Tummy's scar pack is cool except the scars on the complexion slider are all on the young looking complexion..if someone were to add it to the slightly older looking one it would be alot easier to make a geralt morph..keep me posted on your progress if you would =)
oh and would it be at all possible to have it where he has his 2 swords sheathed on his back but when he enters combat only uses 1? Cos if it was like a rogue with 2 sheathed weapons he would pull both of them out (obviously)
