Is there anyway to keep Isabela without getting 50 in either rivalry/friendship?

I completely screwed-up in my decisions with her and somehow made it even when I was trying to make a rivalry. I hate this, Isabela left in my first playthrough and I don't want to play through the Arishok storyline doing the same decisions. That makes it boring for me. Image IPB

nope, i did the same thing. I didn't have her in my party enough and she buggered off. But i actualy think her not showing up for the Arishok meeting makes it more interesting and leaves me with no sympathy for her. I hope i get to kill her in DA3 now with this set up, i'm out for blood.

Phoenix, she comes back automatically if you make her your LI, though that in itself takes a bit of effort to pull off, mainly through metagaming if you dont use her at all.

I had the same problem, mainly cos i found her annoying and uninteresting however, when i did my Mage run I Meta-gamed her ass so she was 100 friendship before i knew what to do with her. In truth if she's in future Dragon age games, i would like to slap her, the stupid bimbo. Don't worry your not hampered in anyway without her.

If you're playing on the PC version, you can always use the console to adjust her friendship/rivalry. Other than that... :(

I can't imagine not having her in the group. No DW rogue?! Blasphemy! Well, unless Hawke is one.

Eh... I much prefer Varric mechanically. I like Isabela personally, but I tend to rival her and she spends all her time insulting me, which is saddening.

I don't think I could rival Isabela.  She's one of the few that approves of the "sarcastic jackass" button that I spam both in-game and in real life.  Varric...  the powergamer in me shudders at Bianca.  She's a great crossbow, but not being able to use some overpowered DLC/mod  weapon or an elemental one is just depressing.

I kind of like rivaling Isabela because the ultimate payoff is rather good; her promising to try to be a better person. Though I'm not much of a sarcastic jackass as a rule; I'll cop to being an angry **** with relative frequency, of course.

Really?  That is a pretty good payoff, I'll have to try that.  I just console set the rivalry for Fenris anyway, what's one more?

You have to console set it, considering everything you'd likely to do him?

Well, I don't keep the hateful bastard in the party so he's not around to lose friendship when I refuse to beat a child to death because she's a mage.  And he gets the foolish notion that I don't find HIM morally revolting if I BBQ some slavers.  :(

Ah, when do you do that when it's not plot-required?

Do what?  Roast slavers?  Every chance I get.

I tend to let Danzig go. In part because he's surrendered, in part because I love his line afterwards: "Thank you! Thank you! You can have first pick of my slave--maybe I'd better just leave."
