I just downloaded weidu and extracted it. When I run the program called Weidu, it opens up a command prompt with a ridiculous amount of options. The problem is, I can't use any of them because whenever I enter a command, it just scrolls further down the list. When I go all the way through the list and see "Enter your argument here" and I enter a command, it just exits.
How the heck do i run command lines in WeiDU?

Assuming you're running on Windows, you can pass command lines to WeiDU through the command prompt.
1. To access the command prompt on Vista/Win7, open Start, type "cmd" in the search box, and hit Enter.
2. With the prompt open, use "cd" (change directory) to navigate to the folder where the WeiDU executable resides. For example:
3. Once you've accessed the relevant folder, type "weidu.exe" and your various commands. For example:
You can also invoke command line options from within .bat and .tp2 files. If you want more details, however, you're probably better off soliciting advice from actual modders, over at G3 or SHS.

the cd command doesn't do anything, probably because my game is installed on a separate hard drive partition.
Edit: Nevermind, I figured out how to get around that. But now I need to figure out how to use WeiDU to install a widescreen mod. Normally I can install it without going through all of that. But one error message comes up every time I do it and I'm afraid its going to have fatal consequences later in the game:
ERROR: BIFF [F:\\Baldur's Gate\\/DATA/AREA110A.BIF] has file entries 0--14, cannot extract file at entry 15 (this BIFF and your KEY file don't match)
ERROR: BIFF [F:\\Baldur's Gate\\/DATA/AREA110A.BIF]: Unable to extract file 15
It still "successfully" installs, but I wan't to know what that error is all about.
I heard somewhere that someone who had the exact same error message was able to install the widescreen mod through WeiDU without getting any errors.

According to the_bigg (the mod's author), the error is likely harmless. See his post here for details.
If you're extremely worried, you could try downloading an older version of the Widescreen mod. They're still available through G3's website (e.g., here's the link to Widescreen v1).
Are you talking about this thread? That was a long time ago, and subsequent releases of Widescreen are now incompatible with WeiDU v204, so you won't be able to apply the same fix.Makatak23 wrote...
