@chino_281 Interrupts are back in #ME3 but we have some new tech & methods to work them in. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll slug someone.

Sounds pretty interesting.

Sick. I'm really hoping Shepard's emotional moments are natural feeling.

Hopefully we'll be able to *see* what an interrupt will do before we choose it.

Um, figure of speech?

I hope, it would be uncharacteristic for my Shepard to cry.

I thought Miranda sealed Shep's tear ducts during the Lazarus project?

Maybe the "you" here is the player/audience, not Shepard him/herself?

Interrupting by...crying? *imagines Shepard bursting into tears instead of head butting Uvenk”

If Shepard does cry, I hope he/she doesn't have those weird shiny tears.

I think the "you" is Shepard. I think for legal reasons Casey Hudson would not imply you "sluging" someone.

None of my Shepards better cry. Maybe if we completly lose Earth. Then maybe a tear or two and a yell!
Or the unsaid...

I would assume the crying is an end result of an interrupt with a LI. But this is interesting.

I suppose that works for 2 out of 3 but if the game is capable of enraging us to the point we'll hit actual people perhaps they shouldn't release it.

I wouldn't mind shep physically crying if it was with their LI during perhaps they get the news their mom died, their battle decision killed 600,000 military and civilians, or they just got back from being hacked by a reaper and forced to be their puppet for an extended period of time and is understandably traumatized.

The player is the one who should be doing the crying. But...that sounds so exciting! :D More opportunities to roleplay. And if Shepard is allowed to show his emotional reaction - wow, that's something completely new. I like new! Shiny.

...If ME3 is as dark as it seems by now, I bet my Shepard is going to go through the game with tears constantly blurring his vision. Hopefully it won't interfere with his aim.

EDIT: Wow, I can see it now. Someone, say, Liara gives Shepard a report, and in the middle of it, Shepard laughs. Liara goes on with the report, and after she's finished, she turns to Shepard and says, "what's so amusing?" That would be awesome! I mean, both the chance to listen to the whole thing they say without it being cut off (always felt that interrupts lost me content, and I always listened to that krogan's monologue in Pragia till the very end for this reason), and if you can get their reaction to your interruption, as well, that would be simply amazing.

EDIT2: also, I felt that cutting people off was disrespectful.I really hope that interrupts allow us to listen to the whole thing this time, while also getting us some new content, not losing it, thus feeling as a reward. But of course, this concept doesn't go very well with the name "interrupt."

Anyway, I just wanted to say that it sounds exciting.

EDIT3: I want an option to burst into sobbing. Give me a dialogue option marked as "distraught". I have a feeling that I will be chosing it all the time. And if I can have that in the game, I won't have to come to the forums for that.

lol that would be hilarious. I will stop the Reaper threat by crying and telling them about my sad childhood, which involved getting beaten by my drug-addicted mother and getting raped by all the krogans in High school.

If Shepard doesn't show some more emotion in the final act of the trilogy...well, that would just be silly. Potentially seeing your entire race and homeworld decimated, trying to come up with a plan to take town the most terrifying and unstoppable force the galaxy has ever known, with many other people out to kill you, and potentially seeing friends and/or lovers killed or betraying you...if none of that makes Shep shed a tear, or at least communicate in a non monotone fashion with occasional almost-raised voice, well...that would be a shame.

One choice where Shep ought to cry is if Shep has to decide in one moment whether to save either his LI or even his entire crew or sacrifice them for the greater good...i.e., at the final battle, LI falls off a cliff, Shep grabs his/her hand, but also needs to press a button behind him (or something like that) and he only has a few seconds, so Shep either has to let the LI die to save the galaxy, or save the LI at the cost of one of the races or something.

Yay! Finally, how Sheps can show FEELING and not be a goddamn unstoppable force. We're all human, afterall.

I expect some Bannon moments in ME3.

Or at least there better be if it wants to be a game worth remembering.
