I'd actually like to see something like Shep being woken up by a nightmare of suffocating in space. That's *got* to leave a mark on a person's mind. Maybe Shep can talk it out with his/her LI to add some emotional depth to the relationship.

I think the "you" in the tweet rerfers to the player but I do hope we'll see a much more emotional Shepard. After committing genocide and dealing with all the pressure from the first two games, Shepard's going to be reaching a melting point in terms of stress. Add the whole survival of galactic civilisation onto Shep's shoulders and yeah.. I'm hoping for lots of tough decisions that really push Shepard over the edge. Hopefully his/her companions and LI will be there to pick him/her up if things get too rough.

Crying is NOT synonymous with wussing out.

It's ok to show emotion, it won't turn you into a woman.

Shepard actually does laugh in ME2. Think of Thane's loyalty mission; in particular, when you run into that one worker while tracking down Talid. If you ignore the Renegade interrupt and instead choose Charm or Intimidate, Shepard will laugh.

He probably meant there would be interrupts which would cause the player to laugh or cry... and Shep to punch people. Bad wording, but that makes the most sense.

Same here. Shepard didn't shed a single tear when a squad member died in ME2. I doubt he/she will start now.

BSG Season 4 when Tigh confesses to Adama. Adama's reaction is *exactly* the kind of stuff I'd want to see Shepard go through.

Not my Commander Shepard. The last time he cried was out of laughter when some batarians failed at trying to torture him.

I have a few Sheps that have been holding in their waterworks since ME 1.

You don't lose all your friends and family to slavers, just to join the military and lose your entire unit and not even think of shedding a single tear.

When my Shepard finally weeps, it won't only be tears and sadness..

..it will be rage, and hate, and anxiety, and frustration..

..there WILL be blood, and gore, and explosions, and dismemberment..

..when the time comes for Shepard to finally release the waterworks, he will also release the FIREworks.

He doesn't like to show emotion much, it builds up. He's gonna frakkin' snap!

It's not at all pathetic if it's between him and Tali in the captain's cabin on the eve of battle.
