Fiendish Power says that it increases Caster Level for Evocation spells by 1 and shocking grasp is an Evocation spell that does 1d6/ Caster Level.
If you make a human wizard with fiendish heritage and fiendish power feats at level 1 and cast shocking grasp, it only does 1d6 damage instead of 2d6 damage.
Is shocking grasp in the wrong class of spells, or is there a bug with fiendish power, or is there something else going on here?
Are there any fixes for this in the mod community?
Anybody come across this before?
Fiendish Power not raising casting level?

I have it completely done via script in my Community Script Library, not aware of the previous issue, but i know my codebase adds 1 level for DC if eldritch or evil descriptor. I use descriptors so this works on my system. ( generally the more detailed and nuanced rules tend to not be implemented properly, mostly due to rising complexity more than anything else, and descriptors are not supported at all in the vanilla game )
Looking at nwn2wiki it looks like this just got changed to evocation from evil? Was this you? It should remain evil as well regardless.
I added evocation as well now, which will be in the next release. ( generally my code is used on my Pw and a few other PW's but there is nothing stopping folks from implementing it in SP )

pain - I didn't change anything on the wikia site, but on the feat description when you take it in game (at least as of 1.23) it says evocation Spells and Invocations and it is supposed to add 1 level to DC and also to Caster Level

Ok that jives with what it says on wikia, i went ahead and did the change, so evokers do get a bit of a boost. There are only a few evil descriptor spells so its very little benefit. Very limited as to where you can use it.
If folks disagree as to if it's needed, i will add a preference so each person can turn it on and off as to their whim. Don't see adding 1d6 of damage from a feat, to the mages as an issue, at least after all the discussion about how max hps have broken the game.
