Hey internet,

I'm having an issue with Arrival (like many others) but mine is a bit different than everyone else's so I thought I'd share here.

I played Mass Effect 2 a ton and beat the game before any of the DLC (Shadow Broker, Arrival, etc.) then went back on a different save to play the DLC on. Story-wise, it was right before the omega-four relay/end mission. I was planning on beating the DLC and then doing the final mission again for my save-game transfer to mass effect 3. However, as soon as I beat Arrival, it grayed all of my quests out and said I beat the game already! Now half of the NPCs on the Normandy are congratulating me on blowing up the collector base and the other half are talking to me about how to prepare for the last mission. I know I didn't load my postgame save since the gameplaytimes don't add up and my romance with Miranda got aborted even though I romanced her when I originally beat the game.

Has anyone else experienced this? I know Arrival was a post-endgame DLC so does it just skip over things when you beat it? I'm not too worried about the outcomes (I was going to go back and not cheat on Ashley anyways) but I'm hoping this bug won't make it so my transfer file is corrupt as I didn't beat the final mission on that save even though I said i I did. Any solutions/answers would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Can't say I've noticed this, maybe others have though yours is the first I've come across that mentions this.

As for whether Arrival skips things ingame? No. It doesn't. Or more accurately it shouldn't.

All I can think of is perhaps you may have, and I am not saying you have, confused your save files. That is to say, you actually loaded a post Suicide Mission save file and completed Arrival on that without realising it.

Or perhaps it is as you suggest a bug or glitch. Whether that will make an import into ME3 is anyone's guess at the moment. If the plot flags are checked correctly then it shouldn't.
