Since he's asking for it, I tweeted that I'd like to see a FemShep trailer. I think I will also ask if BioWare could release an alternate FemShep cover for the game. : )

Possibly as the back/alternate cover, for 360 and PS3 at least. So you can take out the paper cover, flip it, ding! Femshep cover.

I'd like to ask him why is he suck a pillock and does he at any point consider NOT ruining the dramatic impact of the game by revealing it's most emotional scenes before release?

We can create a snowball effect to mobilize lots of FemShep fans in a short time. Here is how to do it...

By using your status message in your profile ask the people in your friend list to vote. Tell them David Silverman (marketing director) wants to know. Give the twitter link in a comment below it and ask your friends to create a similar status message.

I think that there is at least one FemShep fan in most friend lists, so we can reach a lot of voters in no-time.

Create both a status message *and* a comment like these below...

Sample status:

asks everyone in the friend list to vote for a FemShep ME3 trailer...

Sample comment:

Please tweet to David Sliverman (marketing director) that you want a
FemShep ME3 trailer. He said "Now's your chance to speak up" about the
topic. If you love FemShep then please vote. And create a similar status
message and a comment like mine to get the word out on your friend list. Create a
snowball effect. Here's the link: http://tinyurl.com/3vgmqc8

FemShep trailer? Well, I've never played a FemShep, and probably never will... but yeah. Those who do deserve a trailer with a female Shepard. Why not?

Sure that could work.  I'm only mentioning it because BioWare has asked the fans in the past what they would like to see with the Collector's Edition of ME3.  They want to go all out with it, and I think a great way to start is with the covers.

If you could release the same trailer with FemShep and ManShep versions, that would be cool.

And please create some cover art for the game that doesn't have Shepard anywhere on it.

I'll just copypaste myself from the FemShep thread.

Haters gonna hate me for this post. But it's not like FemShep suddenly will take control of their games and MaleShep will disappear. This is just impossible.
I play FemShep not because of the voice, or looks or anything else, at least this was not so important, I'm unable to connect with male characters in RPG's, and there's so many great games I missed because of that. Nobody seems to take that reason into consideration.

So yes, official FemShep trailer would be a great thing to see even if it was hidden somewhere on the website.

I'm also positive a lot of girls/women probably just overlooked ME because they didn't think they could play as a female. :[ With this, it might just grow on a larger audience.
But I feel the same, I feel like a can connect better with a female main character. That didn't stop me from playing previous games with male characters, though. Most of them were, back in the day.

I overlooekd ME because I thought it was an FPS.. not because I couldn't play a female. I don't think it's really a "secret" after two games now.

But it wouldn't hurt to see some FemShep in marketting if they can spare the time/resources.

Maybe we could even see some interactions with the male LIs along with it..

Yeah, same here...I didn't think it'd be too big on the RPG elements, well, ME2 made that even worse but for some reason I liked it more than ME1 (Probably all the Mako driving making me insane.) Hmm...
You'd be surprise how many don't know you can play as a female. (Those who are totally clueless to the ME universe, anyway.)

Don't know if it can be done, but I suggested that the trailers for ME3 be (also) released as ME2 DLC so everyone can see THEIR own Shepard in the trailer. I think that would make everyone happy and for those who don't have ME2, they can get a default.

Probably won't happen, but still... :P

I''m all for a Fem Shep tralier if done right.
I'd quite like to see the traliers consist of diffent scenes wiht both genders like a lot of ME montages do.

Oh and yes I do know people who have played ME1 and 2 who didn't know about the option to play as Fem Shep.

Guess they just thought the big icon that said "Click here to choose to play as a female" was just there for show.....

Oh and congrats Fem Shep fans, seems like that mega-thread of yours has made quite a impact...

oh god not femshep on marketing materials again... iconic shep was created to sell the game - that's why he's in all the trailers, magazines, cover etc. advertising is designed to appeal to the majority, not the minority. anyone who says that females are put off by the default is being obtuse - anyone slightly interested in the game will read some kind of preview, and they all (at least for ME1) mentioned playing as both sexes and customisation within that framework. why pander to c.20% of your market when you could do something universal that fits 100%? not to mention that that way is a slippery slope to disappointment: first it's femshep, then everyone gets upset that it's still not enough, then it's because it's not their femshep, then it has to be equal consideration in trailer production/advertising and then you lose or confuse more of your audience because they don't know what they're looking at.

if the marketing director wants to do some actual marketing: how about some promotions for those outside the US, i'm sure that more than triples the total number of femshep players all by itself? how about stuff for the website: concept art, renders, screenshots?

But, default femshep looks ugly!

So, what's the difference to MaleShep then? ;)

FemShep is a playable protagonist in this series and thus as integral to these games as MaleShep is. One trailer with FemShep as well as some more screenshots with her won't harm anyone. Quite the opposite, it might attract even more players, which is the ultimate goal of any game development company.

And i doubt anyone would complain about not seeing his character in a trailer. By the way, why would this only apply to FemShep players? In fact, some of them are so dedicated that they already made their own trailers with FemShep, because BioWare doesn't do that.

Regarding the confusion: ME players know anyway that you can play both genders. And those who didn't play a Mass Effect before just get to know that you can do so. I don't see the problem here. As you say: "anyone slightly interested in the game will read some kind of preview".
