First off, they really need a model for default FemShep.

If they get one though they should have a trailer switch over to FemShep for the second half of the trailer. IE: in ME2's cinematic trailer, you were introduced to some of the characters, and then saw part of a mission. In ME3s it should show Sheploo meeting up with Ashley and Garrus, and then going on a mission. After reaching a climax, the trailer would switch to showing FemShep with Kaiden and Tali, and a different mission.

Or possibly have the two parts mirror each other. Idk.

The idea behind this being that it would avoid confusion and turning off new players by showing both male and female Shepards.

Oh wow!!  That would be simply amazing.     Shes one of the best (if not the best) female gaming protagonist out there!   Bioware should be really capitalising on her many advantages.   Plus as a player who solely plays femshep now this is brilliant to hear and know they are considering.

Oh and give this a read for something sweet and inspiring of how everyone loves femshep. She does have a lot of appeal :)

^This

FemShep is awesome. I still prefer to play as a male however (1-1 in ME1, but 3-2 in ME2) since I prefer to play RPGs as "myself".

Guys, they already do have a perfectly valid model for FemShep: The default Jane Shepard it is. She may not be based on anyone, but she is in fact her own model and you cannot duplicate her using the character creator.

I'm convinced that BioWare will go with her if they ever decide to make a trailer; it's their vision of how FemShep looks. Here:

Good enough, isn't it?

I need to play a femshep. It would be my 21st play-through of ME1 though and I'm a little fatigued.

Only this adequately describes how awesome a FemShep trailer would be

Well, of course. She's just a create-a-character, little about her is defined. Kind of unfair to other characters.

I'd much rather see a femshep trailer than another sheploo one. Bring it on I say!

Well there are lots of games with "create-a-character" for the females gender.  Bethesda Games spring to mind. Bioware have created something more then your run of the mill lead.

Regardless, even if it is "unfair to other characters" Bioware should embrace this.   They have a fantastic female heroine who doesnt fit the usual associated concepts and paradigms of females in gaming.   Its always something I felt Bioware should be embracing rather then tucking her away.

With this news it looks like it may finally come true.  I hope :)

A femshep or mixed man/femShep trailer would confuse me greatly. I hope they keep Manshep on all covers and focus on him exclusively in every trailer.

I never understood the hate against Default Femshep. Guess people always have to hate against the default Shepard no matter which one..

More ME3 footage? With FemShep? Want!

Competition? Sure, why not? I wouldn't contend in it, though. I has no skillz.

I don't see how having a Femshep trailer could hurt. It does not even have to be a "story" trailer. It could just be a gameplay showcase where they make people aware of the fact that it is possible to play a female version of the protagonist.

If it's official and the trailer will be out on the big screen, hell yeah. If not, then it's just...teasing. Teasing with prizes though, hmm...

Can't tell if you're serious or being satirical.

You know they're different characters, right? I mean... it's not that confusing. Image IPB

A special Femshep trailer as a tribute to Mass Effect Trilogy would do justice :  recap of strong ME1 and ME2 moments + sights of ME3 with amazing exclusive speech from Jennifer Hale and a beautiful Femshepard model.

That's what I want.... please.

A FemShep ingame trailer or are we talkin full blown CGI FemShep trailer?

Anybody can do an ingame cut scene FemShep trailer, just look at them all on YouTube.

A full blown CGI FemShep trailer will show TRUE commitment. We all know MaleShep will get the CGI treatment so be fair BioWare.

I'm a dude and my Brianna Shepard rocks. Image IPB

Agreed a CGI Trailer would be epic

Sounds to me like they want to do some marketing for femshep (woohoo)  but they are unsure if to put a budget into it their end (after all its rather expensive to do).   By announcing the competition it allows the fans to market her by themselves with a lot let fiscal effort and expense.   Its an interesting idea I must say.
