Maybe a cool idea would be a sort of online treasure hunt. Remember those bar codes back before the VGA's? What if there was unlockable screenshots, info and locations (that wasn't spoilerific) after the riddles or what not were solved/decoded?

Something else that would be very cool was if they used one of the original box art concepts that shows a Reaper gripping a planet (earth?). Anyways, put a 3 in the bottom corner of the poster with the words "They Are Coming" at the top. Start putting them up all over the place and not necessarily in obvious advertising locales. They kinda be playing up a doomsday sort of add campaign during these rapturous times and it might be killer if done right.

I think Twitter has been a great tool so far too.

Consistency will help sell the game. Let's stick with male Shepard.

Yet you can equally say showing diversity helps the selling of games too.  However debating it is mute, the fact Bioware are interacting and discussing possibilities with the community shows that they are willing to shift their original stance on marketing. Sheploo will still be the character they push forward in most of what they do.  It sounds this femshep project is something for the current fans to get behind.

Anyway for any creative types, there is current contest over femshep.com that is doing the same thing.  Make a femshep video/trailer and win prizes!   However Biowares idea is different. So we will see what happens.

The cool thing about BW doing FemShep marketing is that they feel that ME3's FemShep is worth to show. I am not trying to look through pink colored glasses, but that could mean ME3's FemShep will be improved compared to ME2.

Honestly, i don't care much for the trailers. So whatever, mshep, fshep or both. I think with marketing only thing i want to hear is the detail's for the special edition or whatever they call the collector's edition this time.

There are people concern about wasting "unnecessary" resources which will somehow lower the effort they have already put into Sheploo.

Noticed but also unnecessary concern.

Gamers already onboard knows you can choice either sex as their shepard, that will not affect their decision to get ME3. For the new customers, with (lets assume) another short trailer which shows you have such choice to play in both sex, that will undoubtfully attract more attentions.

Besides, it is nice to have a actual Marketing staff from the company who reach out to its fan for feeback, the more they hear from us, (hopefully) the great game they can make.

One last question: if this marketing staff offically say there are resource to spend to make such trailer, do you still it is unnecessary? or you still want they should put all the resources into Sheploo rather than opening a window for more potential customers? What do you REALLY think?

One of the catchphrases for marketing Dragon Age 2 was that when you pressed a button, something awesome would happen.  It was very ridiculed.

Plus if the fans are the ones who are going to do all the work anyway, there's no need to worry about the limited resources. <_<

Screw the trailer competition. Unless it's global. Then I'm up for it.

Well you could ask David a question that isnt femshep related and discuss it here if he replies. However as he is presently discussing femshep marketing its inevitably going to take focus of much of the discussion.
