I was trying out some mods that didnt work or i didnt like them so i removed them. Now i'm stuck with a shield on my back that I can;t remove. I don't us e shields as I use 2 handed weapons. I cfan open the xml file an seee a shield listed in there but wont let me edit the file to remove.
Anyone know how to get rid of this dumb ass shield, as I sure can't figure it out.

Have you tried equipping a two-hander?

I have a 2 hander in my hands, don't use sword n shield never have, that's why i don't understand why the shield appeared and wont go away!

In addition I thought y'all might like to know that I cant even remove the shield from me in the inventory window.

That's... odd. Any mods installed? Can you post a screenshot of the inventory view?

Thanks to those of you who replied I found the problem apparently someone changed my weapons (most likely one of my kids) when I re equipped a 2 hander the damn lvl 1 shield went away.
Man do you have any idea whats its like looking up to see an ants ****? LOL

Sounds like you need to set up a seperate Windows profile on your PC and password protect it. That way the kiddies can't get in and mess with your files!!

TY for the info as all 5 of my computers are password protected and w/ only 1 account on each, I don't think that was the prob. It may have been a leftover from a mod I was trying an then removed ??? Who knows all I care is that I'm back to weaponry just fine LOL
