Hi guys! I post these questions for answer by the moderator and the fans.
I have bought Dragon age origins some time ago. Now i bought the ultimate edition pack.
As i understand it the awakening expansion pack is just like a normal expansion that you can install from dvd. The bonus 7 content packs although, need an account to download them. This i did to be able to post here.
So..
1. By having an account and being logged in while playing dragon age or by downloading the bonus contents doesnt have an extra charge? do i have to be logged in to play the packs afte i download them?
2. When i download and install the packs can  i copy them to a dvd so that when i delete the game from my pc to be able to have them, to install them again like the game or the official expansion awakening another time? or i have every time that i install the game to download them again? (it says that you can use the password only one time and that also it is not functionall after 30/7/2011)
3. do i have to uninstall the first installation of the origins from my pc and install again the origins game but from the ultimate edition pack that i bought for the content packs to work with the game? if i use the code and download them i will be able to use the packs again in the future if i install the origins game but  the ultimate edition not the simple one that i have installed now?
4 and uff last one !  if i install the expansion and more importantly the 7 packs while i have my old simple origin version installed in my pc will there be a problem with my old saved games? (incompatability, cracks e.t.c) i ask this because the paper with the code for the 7 packs says: good only for new perchases of dragon age ultimate version (does this mean that is incompatible with use with the simple origins version installed?

and by the way what folders and files do i copy to have a copy for all my game characters and saved games to have in my archive for futute use or just for the fun of keeping them?

thanks a lot ..  :)

If you now have Ultimate Edition, it will contain all the DAO content you could otherwise buy, including the original game, the Awakening expansion, and all the DLC. UE comes with two codes-- the CD Key for the main game and a code to redeem online to unlock all the DLC and Awakening.

You will need to completely uninstall the old version of the game, reboot, and then install Ultimate Edition in order for it to work properly. I recommend rebooting *again* after UE is installed and before you play.

You can back up your saved games by copying the folder My Documents > Bioware > Dragon Age > Characters to someplace else on your hard drive before you uninstall the original version of Origins.

Any mods you have (I assume that's what you mean by "cracks", since pirating the game is both illegal and liable to get you banned from these forums-- just sayin') will need to be reinstalled.

EDIT:  Once you redeem codes, they're tied to your Bioware/EA login and you don't need to redeem them again.

ok! wow that was quick! so all the info for saved games, achievements etc is in the characters folder only? so you say uninstall old one install origins ultimate, awakening, log in download all the DLC and then copy my characters file in the same position? i havent finished the game. i will be able to continue origins but have also the extra games or do i have first to win the game? by cracks i wanted to say crashes sorry! (i dont want to have to play the game from the begining). so you can have your copy of origins and awakening but every time that you reinstall you have to download the dlc? but it says that you can only use 1 time the activation code and that it expires after 7/2011.no way to make a copy of the dlc after the first download to have in my pack with my ultimate edition? a bit possesive ;)

i thought that awakening had its own code. the code for the 7 dlcs is also for the awakening that i have in a dvd in my ultimate version pack? so then my first simple copy of origins is useless with awakening and the dlcs? better to give it as a present then :)
