Leliana looks as sexy as ever, Nathaniel is great, and Cullen's updated character model is also pretty awesome.
Isabela goes without saying, of course!

Worst-Darkspawn. I miss Darkspawn actually looking threatening. Those were the days.......
See and for me it isn't the pale look as much as the terrible looking armor/weapons that I hate so much. I can't stand most of the weapon/armor designs but theirs looks particularly silly being as jagged and angular as it is.

I don't know, the Darkspawn armour in DA2 looks like something scavenged from various scraps then crudely stuck together in a messy manner. This makes sense given the poor intelligence of the Darkspawn (not counting the awakened ones of course). DAO Darkspawn armour was relatively neat and tidy. This makes less sense.

Also, their faces are far less detailed than in DAO.

Like: Darkspawn, they actually look like their parent species a little bit instead of looking like mud zombies.
Worst: Elves, I love the new elf look but they seem to have trouble keeping it leveled. It varies too much from elf to elf.

The problem being, they all just so happened to scrap their armor together in exactly the same way? In the effort to make them look scrapped together they ended up looking like the clone soldiers in older Total War games, and the effort to make them look unique looks crummy when you realize every single darkspawn has the exact same "unique" look.
As for the rest:
I liked the Qunari...with the exception they now have the problem of being clones outside of the Arishok.
Given she is a shapeshifter, Flemeth was ok. But a bit ridiculous and too Power Rangers-esque.
Since I really do not like the new face morph system, I thought with the exception of Cullen, the returning Origins characters did not look very good. The darkspawn looked like a pathetic cross breeding experiment gone awry between the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz and the Putties from Power Rangers.
And the Elves look straight up embarrasing:

Best: Qunari and Elves who are tied
Worst: Darkspawn.
Humans and Dwarves...did they even change?
Characters:
Best: Isabela.
Worst: Teagan.

Worst: Darkspawn Hurlock grunts, Alistair, and Teagan.
I like the emissary look, but ONLY if that is the Hurlock Emissary design and not the emissary design for all Darkspawn.
Dwarves didn't change too much and we still have yet to see a female dwarf. Or a female Kossith. Or a Fex. I'd like to see a Fex just to know what the fex a Fex is. I'm also curious as to what Sten's new look will be considering he is a hornless Kossith.
Flemeth actually looks like a woman who would pose a threat and not just some old hag. I wasn't a big fan of her Origins look considering she has no qualms about power. Isabela looked amazing too. Most returning Origins characters looked amazing.

Best: Qunari and Elves (no specific order. They were just the best). Admittedly, the NPC elves looked horrible. The amazing ones were Merrill, Athenril, Fenris, Orsino, Lia, Orana, and imo Zevran because I expected him to look like that. Though.... his mouth does move in a weird way.
That's a problem with just about any random NPCs in the game. They're some freaky low-res NPCs standing still for 7 years without blinking out in Kirkwall.
Some kind of magic is behind this, surely.

Enchantment?
Even most of the ones that were well-designed to reflect the new look didn't look all too pleasing.
And did you notice that it's only the elves and the humans that are the low-res horribly designed citizens that you can walk through? No dwarves are like this.... Bioware favors dwarves more than humans and elves!
EDIT: And god almighty, why did they make elven women who are somewhere between 25-32 start balding? I'm looking at you Nyssa.

Flemeth. She actually looks powerful and unique, not just like some raggedy old woman.
Leliana. She's gorgeous.
And I really like everyone's eyes.
Worst: Elves. They look sickly and I don't like their convex nose to forehead in profile.
Alistair, Teagan and Zevran. Ugly, and lack of eyebrows bothers me.

Best Character Redesign: Isaeblla
Worst Race Redesign: Elves and Darkspawn (individually Merrill looks good, the rest look deformed)
Worst Character Redesign: Zevran... How they messed that up, we'll never know.

We don't say anything against this kind of people, we just make clear how wrong this look is on a monster that should terrify you.
