 Simple. Using save editor, uncheck every plot line related to Thane.
 
 Then you can see Thane's name also in the terminal, so

 you can finally get an intel about Samara and update your journal.

 BTW,

 Even if you unchecked every plot route related to Thane, you can't re-do Thane's recruit mission.

 So once your journal is updated, (which means when you can meet the officer who takes you to the station)

 use save editor once again to restore Thane's plot status.

 I finished Samara's recruit mission and am on my way of doing Thane's loyalty mission.
 
 It seems it's working fine so far.

 (focus on the 'temporary' part. 
  I know it is such a shame to use save editor but appriently this is the only option we have.
  Shame on you Bioware. You are not doing your job.)
